Which tool you are using to make these graphs?

I want to do some tweaks and its good to quickly graph some test results

It looks like he's just using Google Sheets (basically the same as Microsoft Excel) to plot time vs signal/position. Should be straightforward if you are familiar with spreadsheet programs...

It seems to be noisy, both audible and on reading the encoder too...

Hi everyone. I have been lurking here awhile and trawling the net for similar things but this really seems the best way to go right now outside of finding a DC motor in scrap for free, and even then I think this looks the most promising. Kudos to Peacemaker and Thanos and all you lovely folks!!

I have a 3d printer in the mail and it's main purpose (even the wife supports!) is making sim parts.

I was bugging @Thanos in the comments of his latest YT video but I figured this would be the better place to ask. I've got a few questions. I am very near to clicking buy (wife does not necessarily support!)

On Alibaba now, from "Steady CNC Machine"

    90ST-02430 - 2.4 Nm, 3000 rpm

    OR
    90ST-M03520 - 3.5 Nm, 2000 rpm
SO, does anyone have advice on choosing among these?

Lastly, I am in Japan with mains voltage at 100v/200v. Moreover the 100v sockets do not have a ground pin (But the 200v plugs have a ground) - Will I even be able to run the drivers?

Also I am on the fourth floor, so I am assuming a ground is absolutely necessary.

I know Thanos is not sure whether he will be mass-producing his core407 boards, but if he doesn't I will do my best to get EMC or MMos running.

The wife really doesn't know how close we are to a bit more credit card debt...

This seems to be encoder output reducer.
Absolute encoder may be used as about 16000.

Absolutely get the 90ST-M03520, more torque. You only need 200RPM from the motor... if you can find even more dense model with less RPM would be better. But don't be cheap. Get the one with AASD-15A servo drive. Don't risk for cheaper servos that may be nightmare to setup and not same pin out on the db25...

    This one is better: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/400...earchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_

You want all the available pulses, these parameters are dividers to output less pulses of the encoder... leave them default values

    Thanks Thanos! Missed that one

well I know it is only the price of a haircut, but I emailed the seller to ask about the new black boxes. I'm guessing it is a knockoff aasd15a, so is cheaper and might explode. wife is on the bubble, so I must look into it, and I do need a haircut...

will report back if he replies. I could be the Guinea pig for the new aasd clones?

BTW, searching Alibaba etc is so hard. is there no way to plug in "~ppr / ~Nm / ~rotor inertia / etc" and search? and they post all the details in a jpg! gahhhh!

Maybe use JLCPCB to produce the boards or. if you decide to share it users can order for themself. They do offer also component soldering so maybee the smd components can be soldered and sourced with bom file.

Its still prototypes made. A better and smaller size board will be made that will be not only less expensive but also easier to manufacture. Gerber files will be available as well parts list, so if you want to build it on your own, you can. Its not something I want to capitalize on, its not my project or development. This TDD board was designed just as a way to avoid manual wiring things together and be as plug and play is possible with these inexpensive AASD servos, which are perfect for DIY.
