    I don't know for JRK but Arduino built in ADC (analog to digital converter on Analogic pins) is optimized for 10k ohm :)

    When i understand that right ,hall pots are plug and play to ardinio?
    I have crashd my normsl pot,and wil by hall pots.
    Normaly can i replace the normal with the hall pot,or is tomthing to do?

    You can use Hall sensors as a drop in replacement of pots and mounting them is simple as you don't need to gear them.

    FYI: I bought that Hall effect potentiometer 3 years ago and today I had one disintegrate on my hands while cleaning! i guess the housing is plastic and with time they come apart easy

    Im still on my Original set in which were LOCKED up twice (due to too Rigid of Pot mount) and required BIG BIG pliers to free up.

    They are FAR from Fragile if you ask me.

    Apply 5v from Arduino or other source. Use volt meter and twist pot until output reads 2.5v.

    Hi, I recently bought these hall effect gyro sensors to replace my old Bourns 5 ohm potentiometers.

    And now that I want to change them, a question arises: I know that I can change the polarity of the bourns, that is, I can invest as appropriate between vcc and gnd so that it goes hand in hand with its motor. But I don't know if I can do the same with these new sensors.

    Hi, i buyed 360 deg hall sensors pot but i want connect it directly to the motor shaft without any gear, so this is my question . do i need make some adjustment in the smc3 ino file in the arduino to get the right feedback from the pots????? Or it can be adjusted with the clip limit??? Thanks in advance

    Use a correctly sized flexible connector to directly link the Hall Sensor and motor: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/how-to-connect-protect-a-potentiometer.13/

    You can use the SMC3 utility to make the settings adjustment, you don't need to mess with the ino file.

    Just to add, there are also Hall sensors that have separate magnets and sensors. While you need to be careful to get the magnet aligned with the sensor axis, that’s pretty easy to do with 3D printing and there is no bearing to gall and bind. Just make a mount for the magnet that fits to the rotating part and a mount for the sensor itself that is fixed in position. Besides the need for proper magnet alignment in the X-Y plane of the sensor, there is also a distance requirement between the magnet and sensor but these are all less demanding than alignment with the shafted Hall sensors. Plus, separate magnet Hall sensors need no lubrication because nothing touches or rubs. I used separate magnet Hall sensors and they have been totally trouble free with the only issue being my output arms hit early versions on my sensor mounts and broke them. That was preventable and entirely my fault. Operationally, no issues at all with the Hall sensors. Highly recommended - shafted or free.
