For now don't use axis limiting, that only complicates matters and should not be necessary anyway. Similarly in Interface Settings delete the Startup and Shutdown entries.

I just want to check, is the computer set to English Local: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-language-setting-bug-change-to-english-local.233/

just check and changed the regional settings to English as well removed axis limiting/startup and shutdown settings. Unfortunately without any change in behavior o_O

I tried following all your advice and made all the changes as suggested. The problem however continued to exist on my laptop. Installing the software on a new, fresh installed virtual machine did the trick. So I suppose, removing and reinstalling the software on my own laptop will work as well. Big thanks to you noorbeast :thumbs
Now the last bit, tweaking. All suggestions are welcome.
    My config :
    2x dual Motomonsters
    2x 50A 12V Power supplies
    2x 90Zyt-155-12 25:1 motors

    Hi guys,
I have question about the settings in SMC3. I was doing some testing with load and I found out that the left motor stopped working while it was tilted to the left o_O. What setting should I adjust in SMC3 to prevent them from shutting down when they almost reach there max limits. Should I use PWMMin and PWMRev ?

This is a picture of my settings in SMC3.

I've read that PWMrev should have similar a value as PWMmax. What would be a safe value in my case?

Shutting down can have a number of causes, but start by refining the SMC3 settings, which should be refined for your specific hardware.

I would expect Clip Input and Max Limits to first be refined, followed by other settings.

See the SMC3 instructions here re settings functionality: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/#post-48121

While written with JRKs in mind see this simple introduction to PID, which links to more hardcore information, depending on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/a-laymans-analogy-guide-to-pids-pid-tuning.219/

    Hi guys,
I was doing some tests with the max limits and clipping input of SMC3 and I want to enable reverse braking.
What I do not get is how I can get these max/clipping limits further away from my tipping point. (and only limiting my range of movement and increasing my range of protection)
The only thing that seems to happen when lowering the Max limits is that the maximum range of movement is growing.
Am I missing something or does Simtools use the max/clipping settings set in SMC3 in combi with the axis range defined. (ex. surge set to 20 % clipping happens at about 18 % max limits and max limits at 20 %)

If anyone can explain this, please let me know.

SMC3 sets the range and controls for the motors.

SMC3 should be configured and working as expected before messing with SimTools.

SimTools Axis Allocation lets you split the total range into allocations for various axis, SimTools mixes the axis allocations on the fly, grab a copy of the SimTools manual and keep it handy for reference: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/rtfm-start-with-the-official-simtools-documentation.117/

Remember before putting the seat on the platform, look for the perfect balance point, being your mounted on the seat, more or less with the exact position in which you will drive, the more balanced it is, the better for the engines, another option is to balance it later with rubbers or springs, but that is the key point, you can do it simply sitting on top of a round stick, until he finds the balance.
