    Hi all,
I'm wondering, if I'm the only one facing some OVRMC 0.3.6 issues since some weeks.
0.3.6 was working flawless for months, I almost never had to restart Steam VR to get OVRMC runnig.
But around July 11th OVRMC suddenly did not start anymore. After de- and re-installing OVRMC and Steam VR I did not got any huge difference.
Steam VR crashes quite often and I need to restart SteamVR several times, incl. unblocking OVRMC.
Sometimes it looks like having OBS Studio running help, but I think this is more or less placebo. It does not work all the time, so maybe by chance only.
Most of the time a re-start after unblocking OVRMC brings the OVRMC logo in, but clicking on it leads only to an "empty" OVRMC config page.
I tried SteamVR in and out of Beta Mode, no difference.

    1) Typical 1st startup page without OVRMC logo
    OVRMC_01.jpg

    2) Nothing blocked at first startup
    OVRMC_02.jpg

    3) Restarting and crash

    OVRMC_03.jpg

    4) Unblocking and restart bring up sometimes logo but "empty" OVRMC config page

    Info:
    Windows 10 Ver 21H2 Build 19044.1826
Steam VR Build ID: 9124143 July 18th 2022
    OVRMC 0.3.6
    OVRMC_06.jpg

Any idea what could be wrong?

    Thanks

Right after posting, SteamVR made an update and OVRMC started 3 times right from beginning. I'keep you updated if this is the fix or just another stroke of luck. Time will tell

Update - seems to be solved with latest SteamVR update.

    OVRMC_07.jpg

Since updated to Steam VR Build ID: 8855498 July 28th 2022 OVRMC runs as flawless as before.

Oh, sad to hear. After re-installing SteamVR, OVRMC 0.3.6 and the update of SteamVR it's now really running well. Not a single restart required since then. Vive Pro
I will report if I need to restart to get it runnnig.

There is definitely an issue with Varjo and steamvr that interferes with OVRMC. It is very hit and miss to get it working.

I have potentially fixed the problem with the recent SteamVR version, try replacing the motioncompensation driver Dll with this one. The location is usually your steam/steamapp/steamvr/driver/00vr.../bin/win64

Let me know if it helped.

Thx very much. That updated .dll now works perfectly whereas before I couldn’t get the cog to show in steamvr settings with the old version

@Wagnard - Thanks, you are my hero.... :thumbs

Fully fixed the issue for me.

    1) Switching back to "non-beta" version

    OVRMC_fix_01.jpg

    2) Updating SteamVR to latest version (9276252)

    OVRMC_fix_02.jpg
    3) Starting steam and check if OVRMC will start - it did

    OVRMC_fix_03.jpg
    4) Doing some test runs with AMS2 - all good

Hello, there is someone who has a problem with OVRMC, if I put a controller as a reference tracker and doing pitch and roll, from SteamVR View perspective it's all ok but from HMD perspective I see different behavior. Is there any option in SteamVR to fix this or is HMD setting option? P.S. I'm trying with Pimax 5k and Quest 2 and I'm having this issue with both HMD.
Here is what I get rotating the tracker with the hand.

    Thank you in advance

I can see a similar issue with a Reverb G2 (mixed reality) and it was because of the Windows Mixed Reality for SteamVR driver. Reverting to the LKG version in Steam Fixed it.

Maybe it's a similar issue on your end.

Its for Windows mixed reality, you have pimax, normally you don't have that.
Its when I click property on the windows mixed reality in steam and under beta, I select the LGK version
