Looking at possibly making available acrylic Plexiglas enclosures, Clear, Black or other colors... Looks feasible in the model.

Hello Thanos, first of all thanks for your great contribution to simracing.
    I needed to bother you with a query;
A few days ago I resumed the progress with my simulator, in my case a 4dof type SFX-100. I had it working for a while without any problem, due to specific issues I had to move house and disassemble the entire simulator. These days when it comes to reconnecting everything I found the unpleasant surprise that the actuator driver n°1 presents the error code AL-04 when turning everything on. If the driver is only turned on without connecting it to the AMC-AASD, the driver shows zero on its screen, the error appears when it is connected precisely to the AMC board. I tried this with two diferent computers. As extra information I can tell you that the driver did not crash, it was not exposed to moisture or anything strange, the other 3 drivers and actuators work perfectly. I leave you some images below. I would be very grateful if you could help me to know if it has been corrected or if the driver cannot be used directly. Also all the parameters (Pn) are ok.
Thank you again for all your great help. Greetings.

    You said "reconnecting everything" ..
Perhaps you wired wrong order the power motor cable U, V, W , or a connection is loose. The reason the alarm comes when you attach the AMC-AASD15A, is because the AMC-AASD15A activates the motor power to calibrate...

You can verify the issue by trying to manually JOG the servo (Fn002 JOG Trial operation -
Use the Up and Down arrows to spin the motor)

Thanks for your answer Thanos, I am completely sure that everything is connected well, in fact if I try another driver everything works perfectly. I try to do the test (Fn002 JOG Trial operation -
Use the Up and Down arrows to spin the motor) but immediately the alarm code AL-04 appears :(

Ok. Since even JOG fails on that servo drive, it could be a wrong setting somewhere.

Try to Factory reset the AASD-15A parameters

    Select Fn004

No need to enter a value. Just press/hold the Set button and it displays Pni n then press/hold Set again.. displays go... done... Remove power and plug back in..

Then enter the suggested parameters from the AMC manual.

There are a handful of servos that can be used, but except the already tried and documented ones, you may have to add signal conditioning (if the servo only accepts 24v signals for PLC) or external limit switch for calibration (if the servo does not provide such feedback for hard stop)...

You can see some other supported servos on my github (Dorna and Syntron)

    solved
Do not ask me what I did got it working
Hello I am hoping for some help I had a very long move that toke over 16 months before I could setup my rig.
so finally I get it setup I have PT_actuator surge only I did some testing using forward and back only the AMC_AASD locked up when I when to reset it all I get is a solid bar across the top My computer see it.
    any help please

    Hi Chris,

Sometimes the bootloader could be triggered if the USB power is not enough. The controller itself doesn't need much power, but each DB25 cable you add, the optocouplers of that servo drive draw a few mA each, which adds up. So a good solution would be not to relay on the power output of the USB port of your PC, but connect the AMC controller via a powered USB Hub (with external PSU), like this one.

The power USB hub can also solve other issues like disconnections during race or just to keep the AMC controller active if your PC crashes or resets (most onboard USB ports may toggle the power if that happens).

Restore defaults to the controller: hold Exit button, then press the Reset button. Once you see the message on the LCD that defaults were restored, release the exit button.

    Thanks

Thanks so very much , it worked after a few trys.

My only problem now is that the motors test ok from the servos full range.

    All seting are per instructions.

The position is set to 50% so they should start in the middle of their 100mm range when iracing starts.

The rig does not rise up only by a tiny bit.

When braking for example though I have the software to maximum on all directions the rig only moves about 15mm in any given direction.

Any thoughts please if you have the time....THANKS

Position? You mean Park? Or Standby?

    Park position should be 0%
    Standby position should be 50%

The controller uses the standby position to start motion cues from the motion software.

If the actuators only move a tiny bit, perhaps you need to check the servo drives if they have correct electronic gear setting.

    Thanks
    Thanos

No sorry, only serious motion rigs are supported. Not arcade or space program centrifuge machines....
