    Just to clarify you do not install zip plugins to SimTools v3, as v2 plugins are incompatible. SimTools v3 has its own integrated plugin repository system, with plugins being updated and standardised for it during the Beta testing phase.

    Hi and thank you for your quick reply.

    Yes, I know I can't use plugins for v2 in v3. But the zip I downloaded was "upload 2 (v 3.0)" , uploaded
    2023-03-21 13:08:13 --- Update v2 --- Corrected Roll, Roll Rate, Pitch, Pitch Rate and Sway directions.
    according to the changelog.

    I hope this is the right one for v3.

    For offline users, you can download a v3 plugin from it's data page and then drag drop it right into SimTools v3.
    upload_2023-4-27_17-41-31.png

    What @noorbeast is mentioning thou, is if your online @Michael Pleym, then you can install the same plugins directly thru v3. (look to the lower right of the main screen, plugin manager)

    Simply hover and click one to install.

    @yobuddy,

    I apologize for bothering you repeatedly.
    However, I have conducted some tests to verify an issue with properly controlling the Thanos AMC using Simtool V3.

    To get straight to the point, Simtool V3 is not correctly sending data through the COM Port. I have verified this using a program capable of capturing COM Port communication.

    For the first test, I performed the Thanos controller motion test.
    (https://github.com/tronicgr/AMC-AAS...ster/Thanos-utility/Thanos-motion-test-simple)
    During the initial execution, the data was correctly sent and received, and the motor control values were being updated regularly.
    (Please refer to image 1)

    When running the 'AMC-AASD15A Config Tool' from the 'Addons' in Simtool V3, the data is sent and received correctly.
    (Please refer to image 2)

    However, it seems that incorrect values are being transmitted when performing 'Test Settings' in the 'Interface Setup' of Simtool V3. Shouldn't the motor control values be two-byte values with 0xFF 0xFF for normal operation? It seems that the issue starts from the 0x79 0x79 part.
    Additionally, the message "Connected >>> Motion data.." does not appear on the Thanos AMC.
    (Please refer to image 3)

    It seems that there is an issue preventing proper communication with the Thanos AMC.
    Can you provide any assistance or suggestions?

    Thank you in advance for your help.

    @Nix Park,
    The same interface plugin is used for the config tool and interface testing.
    So they should both work, or both not work i would think.
    I will take a look this weekend thou.

    @Sin.Schumi,
    I will take a look at the HyperAxis plugin this weekend buddy!

    @yobuddy,

    Thanks for your explanation. Seems to be sth wrong with my installation of Simtools v3, because I don't have the DCS banner automaticly pop up in the plugin manager menu when I look there for it. I will try to do a reinstallation of the software and see if there will be any changes.

    Regards

    //Michael

    Maybe your in a different repo?
    Take a look in the bottom left of the plugin manager page, notice there is a button to change repo's.
    Maybe it does not say SimTools: PC?

    Thank you yobuddy once again for your suggestions.

    No, it's not saying "SimTools: PC". It's saying "NjMotion Compact-R". And when clicking on it I come to the NjMotion Compact-R setup. Seems to me this is correct, no?

    So you are in the NjMotion Compact-R repo is all.
    But you are free to change repo's, with the little button on the left.
    upload_2023-4-28_17-24-21.png

    Select SimTools Community Repo.
    upload_2023-4-28_17-25-30.png

    Then select the computer repo (blue one)
    upload_2023-4-28_17-26-13.png

    And your free to change back at any time.
    Be aware that the plugins in the NjMotion Compact-R repo may come all pre-setup for you, where the SimTools PC repo will require manual setup.
    Take care!

    @yobuddy,
    Thank you for looking into this.

    One thing for sure is that it works properly when changing the region and language settings to "United States (English)" as described in the link below:
    https://www.windowscentral.com/how-properly-change-system-default-language-windows-10

    I am sharing a screenshot of when it is working properly.

    Has to be a ascii table region change problem as it's all I think of.
    Fortunately, I built v3 with this fix in mind, so there is a few things I can try.

    Try capturing new max min values as not all plugin from v2 are 1:1 in v3.
    While on the track, click 'Capture' then 'Reset', and then drive a lap without hitting a wall and click 'Save' and then 'Stop'.
    You may also want to try enabling only one DOF at a time to see if its working.
    Like just enable pitch and see how it works.
    It could be that one of the DOF direction is different than in v2.

    btw, for the first 4 actuators, I would replace the roll assignment with sway and pitch with surge.
    This way the sim will react to you inputs a lot better.
    Take care!

    So, question: some plugins say " Complete one race before installing. "

    I completed one race in Dirt Rally 2.0, but the plugin still asks to complete one race. Not sure if the plug is actually checking for a "completed" race or if it just gives a generic message.

    Also, I think I read that the plug-in modifies a "save" file (xml?), but I don't see a save file or folder in the Documents/My Games/Dirt Rally...etc.

    Help! :)

    It's just generic setup message is all.

    It edit's both the hardware_settings_config.xml file and the hardware_settings_config_vr.xml file.

    Selecting 'Documents/My Games/Dirt Rally' should work just fine.
    Take care,

    Apologies if this question has already been raised. I have a light showing up in the top righthand of the plugin page that shows, when I run my mouse over it, it reads plugin error. I assume this is because a plugin I have installed has been updated? Is there any way of knowing which plugin is being affected? Or is it just a process of elimination?
    Thanks
