I got it to work... kind of, but there are no effects on the ground. Is this normal?

In the Mix / Max tuning center you need to click the picture of the cloud next to the 1, 2, 3 settings. It will turn into a road icon. Then you can recapture your Min Max on that profile.

I’m working through it. I followed the following advice and I am able to get values in Min / Max settings. But I haven’t gotten motion on the rig yet. I’m still reading though so I’m hopeful to work it out.

So I’m getting telemetry into Simtools 3 but the motion isn’t working.

EDIT: I have gotten everything working in v2, online and with EAC installed. Works great. But cannot understand what I’m doing wrong with the v3 beta.

    From User: Marc Fdx

Here is what I did (and this works for me):
    1. I renamed starwarssquadrons_launcher.exe to starwarssquadrons_oldlauncher.exe
    2. Under a command line with administrator privileges, I went to the \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\STAR WARS Squadrons\ folder and typed in the following command:
    mklink starwarssquadrons_launcher.exe starwarssquadrons.exe
This will create a symbolic link from the launcher filename to the real main.exe
    3. In the Windows explorer, open the properties dialog of the symbolic link icon and tick the box "read-only" so that it won't be automatically replaced (not sure it's bullet proof though).

To launch the game, do not start the main exe directly but simply click on the start button in Steam. You can even directly launch Squadrons in VR mode.

On the Max / Min Tuning page, the page you can see your getting game data, do you have some captured values in the lower part of the page? Got a screenshot maybe?

For all game plugins classified as an 'Air' game type plugin (as opposed to Land or Sea) will have Max/Min values for both "in the air" and "on the ground".

Not all flight games report this state, weather "in the air" or "on the ground", but the ones that do, don't have to compromise between the two states.
    Take care,

Values are coming through and I have re-captured and saved them multiple times after trying various settings changes. Image shown was after saving. I would assume the tricky part is getting the data in, which is working fine. Just no motion.

Thanks for the pic's, looks right to me.
Can I verify that when you click 'Test Settings' in pic #2, you are able to move the sim around?

Yes it moves as expected. When I launch the game and start motion it also kicks into position like it is ready to go.

Can I also find a sketch for the Arduino with the Monster Moto for the V3 version for the Game Dash?

    Hi @Neo_One,
Here is a good GameDash example.
    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/simtools-v3-rpm-dash-example-with-arduino-sketch.17871/

The same sketches that worked in v2, should also work in v3, if that is what you are asking?
May I ask what you are trying to do with game dash buddy?
Motion sketches are not used a lot in game dash is all, but then I'm not sure what you are trying to do yet either.

Finished the first build last night, just need to do a bunch of testing and fix anything that is not working.
    So hopefully it's close buddy.
    Take care!

Hi @yobuddy just fired up my old rig and was looking for newer Simtools versions, and now THIS! So much work and to my surprize ST3 offers all under one hood, a real killer app. Also to mention it's still free for Simtools2 user, nice gift. hug: Keep the good work up buddy!

I didn't see a post i may have missed it. What's on you update wish list? First one for me is being able to change the size of pages in simtools v3.0. Next would be a way to program a start/stop button for game motion. By this i mean an external button to transmit game telemetry for movement like the top half of your plugin
