    Hi Dave,

What CAD package do you use?

Would you consider sharing your files?

I love your work on here and also in your video.

Access to your drawings would really help with measurements.

    thanks

    Jeff

Hello Jeff.. It's just 3ds max.. I used it to sort of put out some ideas i could see in 3d.. not really for scale or anything other than just helping me to visualize the project.. I will say that 99.999 percent of the dimensions are taken live in the video series via tape measure.. It's a long series.. but hope that helps.. Dave

Ok guys.. I'm starting to realize that at 60+ years old.. My VISION is just about shot and that soldering components takes me 10 times longer now.. and I STILL get them wrong! Simply cause I cant see small details like I used to.. So I decided to search and try out some components which may add a fraction of cost to your controller boards, but are well worth it.. In terms of speed, disconnectability and level of frustration.. hope that some of you have time to watch the video.. All part numbers are listed in the video, where to get the parts as well as links in the description.. Let me know what I missed.. or if it helped you out.. I'm using all of these new parts on my new rig.. DMAX

I feel your pain with respect to age, vision, and fine motor skill deterioration!

@Ronnie Rowe has made similar wiring related recommendations, with a couple of variations: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/controller-build-for-3dof-smc3.16719/

With respect to flexible couplings they come in different sizes, both ends, so rather than drill them out buy ones that fit your particular Hall Sensor shaft. Check the data sheet for the Hall Sensor you are using to find the shaft size, for example: https://www.farnell.com/datasheets/2710373.pdf
