A lot of the v2 manual applies to v3 still, but no specific manual for v3 yet...
You can get the manual here if needed: https://simtools.us/downloads-links/
Or you can PM me questions also, I'm always around.
    Take care,

    Hi everyone,

Forgive me if the question I am about to ask is not in the right place.

I happen to be using several DOF (for now there are 7) and I want to use for example with different axis the same movements such as the surge, Is it possible to have several surges but that they can be configured independently?

I hope I have explained myself correctly.

By the way, congratulations to both the forum and the creators of Simtools, it is without a doubt a great piece of software/community forum.

    Thank you very much.

I am not sure of your physical setup or hardware but if there are separate hardware controllers then they can be setup to independently run an axis, such as surge.

Thank you very much for your answer, I didn't explain myself very well, sorry.

For example, if I want to have different Max/Min surges, how can I do it? In principle, in the list there is only one surge, so the Max/Min that you put there, will be affected equally in all the surges that you have selected in the hardware without being able to modify them independently.

You have 3 sets of max/min values, see here.
    upload_2023-8-3_0-30-50.png

And then in the axis assignments, you can tie to any one you want, see here.

    Hope that helps,

    Hello everyone,
I have a few questions, I'm new to the whole topic and now use Simtools V3 with my 2 DOF motion rig. My problem, especially in ACC, is that when I go up a small incline, the seat always tilts forward a lot and when I only shift in 1st gear, it only goes backwards a little when I accelerate in the other gears I notice a jerk when shifting. I would be happy to attach a picture of my Axen configurations to you.
Maybe someone can help me to solve this problems.

    Hey,
first of all your axis total is 270, that's very high. Being per percentage of all the forces it should be 100 (but you can go a bit higher considering not all forces are at their maximum at the same time), let's say you can go up to 120 (but I keep it at 100)
what you're referring to (the change of gear) is normally tied to the Surge force, we normally have asymmetrical positive and negative values for Surge. You can set them under Min-Max Tuning.
These are my values for Surge in ACC:

EDIT: but I would first of all adjust the axis forces to go around 100 (try not to have too much pitch if you don't want to feel too much ups and downs)

My problems are that when I press the accelerator, the seat doesn't move backwards every time I switch gears. You're supposed to be pushed into the seat like in a real car, and when I drive uphill the seat always moves forward a little. although he should actually go to the back. I now have Axis total = 100

It sound like your Dir checkbox settings in Axis Assignments are not configured correctly, as they determine which way each axis move.

To manual change values press Capture, edit the values, Save, then Stop

But, as noorbeast said, you probably have to check the direction of each axis in Axis Assignments, that's the basic for having everything working correctly

    Hello all,
Is there any estimated time frame where v3 will come out of beta? I am asking since I can't use v3 since ProSimu won't support it until it's out of beta. I'm hoping v3 will provide a way to reduce the strong shifting jerk motion in AMS2. I tried Washout to 50, and Surge -50 in the profile editor, sadly no luck. Hoping V3 has the same shift/surge softening control as SRS software does...

It is always a case of it will be done when it is ready, and there are a lot of variables in that, but Beta testing has added a lot of refinement and helped squash many bugs.

Commercial providers can and are already taking advantage of the new v3 plugin repository system, where they can craft their own repository and have plugins specifically tuned for their particular rigs.

    Hello everybody,
I asked something a few months ago, but I haven't had much time in the last few months and now I want to get back to work on my 2dof.
In the last few days I've been trying around, but unfortunately I just can't get the Motion to work properly.
I configured the axes and also tried out the min/max values.
    My problem is the following:
    - Sometimes the simulator tilts to the left or right even though you are driving on a straight route
    - Sometimes it starts to lean (roll) much too early before a curve.
    - Sometimes it takes a long time until it returns to the 0 position (park position) after a curve.
    - The simulator reacts very jerkily despite 20% per Ax and 50% sensitivity.

These are my fundamental problems. I hope someone can help me with this.
