the K8055 is pretty old now, and while we could add an interface for it, the people using it would be better served to move on to a Kangaroo x2 as they are so cheep!

But I do realize that this will not work for everybody.

@Balles - SimTools uses one SCN per adapter.
With the ID of the actuator being the factory set '0'
you should have 2 interface setups with a different COM port set to each.
    maybe this will help you?

GameManager does not work without internet connection. Status Not conected. Please do not make SimTools dependent on internet connection. Do not repeat the errors of both X-sim3!!!

Hmm.....mine works without a connection. The "Not Connected" Message means that the Game Manager does not see Game Engine running. Has nothing to do with internet connection.

Both Game Manager and Game Engine must be loaded to use SimTools.

Correct Historiker, both the game engine and manager need to running in order for the connected to show, this has nothing to do with internet connection at all. Its stating whether the game engine is connected to the game manager and actual has 3 states , all explained in detail in doc like the other software didnt have, we have full docs on site mate.

I think that is an internal network issue. I am not sure, as I am not a programmer, but I think the game manager and the game engine communicate via your own network. This is to allow the game manager to run on one computer and the game engine to run on another one. Personally I only use one computer but it is a good feature to be able to use networked computers to save on system resources.

Question about serial communication, i want to send to my arduino 2 axis : <Axis1><Axis2>
but if i want to add a start bit like "AB". Do i need to add quote or something else ?

    ex: 'AB' <Axis1><Axis2>

and if i want to send only a number :
    'AB' <Axis1><200>
    ?
    thanks
    Eric

that is connecting to the forum to check the splash screen, this is a site thing for info to be shown to users if not avail or you block it , up to you, no information is checked on it at all, it should continue and load the offline screen, its an info screen nothing else to fear.Sorry for the confusion.

No mate AB<Axis1><Axis2> is right no quotes needed. for example if axis 1 is 255 and axis 2 is 155, it will send the string AB255125 depending on how you set it to go, binary, decimal, etc.

Edit: Did a short notice in the download description of SimTools. Maybe should be done in the documentation as well.

Just so it has been said, there is no internet connection needed to use SimTools!
But if you have a internet connection, you will get a live splash screen with current news and links to the doc's.
requiring an internet connection for software like this would be a mistake. :D

I'm not against adding support for the K8055 btw.
They look to be "Unintelligent" controllers?
Meaning that the PC actually is the brains of the controller.
If this is true then a separate app that controls the k8055 is the way to go.
And SimTools is built to do this.
    Take a look at this.

    Setup Game Engine like this.
    1) you can assign output of the axis anyway you want - but here is an example.
    1.jpg

2)Setup Net output to the app
    2.jpg

3)run my attached vb.net example app.
Then use the output testing in Game Engine and you will see the app come to life.
    3.jpg

So my question is, Since I don't have a K8055, does anyone with one want to take a shot at taking it from here? I'm more that willing to help. I just don't have one to get it working.

Thanks mate I have one too but a too much on me plate to play with it.
Only issue i see is we have to pid control it via the app as dustin states it doesnt actual do any thing but switches connection and can read two pots, the app need to manage the card in total.
