    Hi,
my name is Chris and I'm french so forgive my english ...
I bought a Buttkicker Gamer 2 few days ago and I'm looking for a little bit more than "shaking with sound".
    So I'm interesting with simtools.
I got a USB sound card (m-audio). Can you tell me if i can use simtools with this installation (not sure about this word, sorry) to have good sensations with Pcars, Rfactor 2, assetto corsa, etc.
I downloaded simtools GameEngine and GameManager. If i'm not wrong i need plugins for each game, wright ?
    Well, i need help... ;-)

Welcome @krissangel , at present they are not supported but we hope to eventually have our own companion app to drive them.
At present people have been using SimVibe with SimTools running the motion. Do you have a motion sim ?
And yes you need a game plugin to add motion for a particular game, base SimTools only comes with the LFS plugin rest need to be downloaded when you need them.

    Thanks,
    I only have a buttkicker gamer 2.
Just want to feel the shocks, the bumps from the data and not from the sound.

    G'day Guys,
I've completed my sons spaceship and am looking to give it movement. I'm thinking pneumatic will be the most suitable to move around an 90kg box with 2 kids inside. Any pointers to a newbie would be greatly appreciated!

Wish I had a spaceship like that when I was a child, very cool!

What type of motion are you planning?

    Welcome Kurtis.

Totally up to you but trust me, you don't have to finish your sim to be of interest here. In fact many here appreciate following the build of a sim as it develops.

Oh yes of course, ive been taking pictures all the while so i can write a build process to show. I just wanna make sure everything works out alright before i embarass myself saying it ended up at the county dump :) haha. getting close tho, we had it moving last night with X-sim, but didnt understand any of the math junk in their program and didnt particularly care to learn such a... loosly designed headache of an application. lol. So here i am! :) love the simplicity of simtools

I have simtools up and running now, trying with asseto corsa. I seem to be having issues with one of my motors tho (2dof) in adurino com it takes every command perfectly (a little weak feeling at times, need to move center of gravity back) but when i try and drive with it it seems as though the right motor is lacking, or maybe not recieving commands at all sometimes. i seem to always be leaning left. And after 10 mins or so racing, the left motor is a little warm as to assure its been pulling its weight, but the right motor is anything but drinking a beer.. it may as well be ice cold. lol. Frustrated to say the least...
