    Hi,

New member having upgraded my Frex SimConMotion to be Simtools compatible...(with USB converter).
But I already got a problem.
Software installed, with actuators calibrating at GameEngine start, iRacing plugin installed, game patched but no motion in the game !
    Any help ?

    Welcome @drazic !
I'm not sure this is the right place to post... But before trying to get motions in a game, you should probably try to get moves using Output Testing.

@Wanegain is right @drazic, the welcome thread it not for problem resolutions, so please start your own thread under the build section and repost the request for help there: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Hi guys, found this site after realising the expensive dc servo motor I acquired for another project may do a better job at force feedback then the g27. Here's to experimentation!

    Hi, my name is Daniel,
    I am from Spain
I have long wanted to make a motion simulator.
My intention is to make a 2DOF PITCH and ROLL 360.
all controlled Arduino and the simulator is the Microsoft FSX.
For now I have found very little information on the Internet.
With Sim Tools software, you can get data to the read FSX Arduino?
You know any place where I can get some more information.
I hope your information to receive your help for this project
    I invite everyone to collaborate.
A greeting and thank you very much
    Daniel

    Welcome @dachiva.

There is an existing SimTools plugin for FSX:
    http://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/microsoft-flight-simulator-x-plugin.30/

A good place to start for further information is the official SimTools Documentation:
    http://www.xsimulator.net/simtools-complete-documentation/

    And the FAQ section: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

A 360 degree simulator has a lot of technical and safety challenges, so you may want to consider building a model to test ideas before committing significant resources: http://www.xsimulator.net/community...o-driven-model-to-test-your-design-ideas.136/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Feel free to ask questions, there is a very active community here that is good at giving tips during planning, reviewing purchase lists, giving feedback and encouragement during the build and providing advice on actually sorting out motion profiles.

And please do take a moment and add yourself to the Member Map: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/memberMap/

    Good luck with your project.

Hi All, I come to learn. I got zero knowledge on building my own sim, but I'm impressed by some videos posted on youtube. So I got the link to this website. I hope I can do it. Seems like it's very hard to make one. Thanks in advance to all.

Hello, Nice to meet you everybody,

My name is Martin Sanchez , 49. I work as a Japanese/Spanish/English translator for the japanese automotive industry. While searching for plugins to read motion simulator software data, I finally arrived at the Xsimulator website and I couldn't be happier I did.

Let me tell you a bit about how I got into motion simulators and what I'm working on at the moment.
For me, it all started because I wanted to learn how to hand glide. Unfortunately, there are no hang gliding schools near where I live. So, instead, I started looking for a hand gliding motion simulator. I searched and searched online for days. During my search I gradually learned more and more about the different types of simulators new and old. But, I also learnt two things in particular: 1. That most motion simulators have a very limited range of motion. and 2 : That simulator with a full 360 degrees of motion, eg. the BSmotion, cost an arm and a leg. (I actually requested a quote from the BSmotion team. It retails for no less than 50K us dollars. Shipping and import taxes not included). So, one quest kept growing inside my head , is there a way to make a less bulky, Lighter, 360 degree triaxial motion simulator at a much lower cost? And after some deep meditation the answer came to me, YES! and that is what I'm working on at the moment. A Versatile 360 degree triaxial motion simulator develoment platform (Patent Pending) which I'm hoping to launch on kickstarter, or indiegogo, sometime this 2015. This new platform is suitable for a wide range of vehicle simulations from race cars to space ships. I will appreciate everyones support towards bringing this new platform to everyones home.

    Cheers!

    Welcome @Martin Sanchez.

If you are interested in using SimTools commercially then you will need to contact @yobuddy to negotiate a commercial license.

Where there is a commercial intent, even in the case of a DIY prototype, the proper place for that thread is in the Commercial Simulators and Prototypes section, so please do post details there: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/commercial-simulators-and-prototypes.52/

As per the Commercial Simulators and Prototypes section: "Any commercial affiliation, interest or intent must be disclosed, including as they pertain to DIY prototypes, and to protect all parties it is a requirement that any posting must be in the Commercial Simulators and Prototypes section. Commercial advertising is not allowed".

Please read on from here for a background understanding of some of the discussions that have led to a clear separation between DIY non-commercial and other commercial related simulators and prototypes: www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/feel-vr-universal-affordable-for-home-use-motion-sim.6776/page-3#post-81042

I just arrived on this site and I got all excited and all that.
First I need to try your software and see if it does what I need. And second, I'm not planning on commercializing full simulators, but simulator development hardware where developers can choose what software they want to use. Does that make sense?
