Agree that opening up the case is better, but maybe an option for people who do not want to cut their motors up or have space limitations, I actually use to do this on RC boats that I raced (too many years ago), worked a treat.

Ok initial testing on the cooling looking good. Had about an hour last night on Dirt Rally and it was tuff and ruff on the motors but they were just luke warm to touch, thanks @Alexey

Let's see how these go I may be able to move back to 7o or even 90 CTC which would be loads better for Prepar3d

these do a great job on a quad copter, but i Also agree that they might be a little too small/weak to deal with the Oscillations were dealing with. worth a shot tho. :thumbs

Well I was right the rubber bung platform does shite all its rubbish lol. Oh well back to the drawing board.

On a brighter note the fans cooling the motors are spot on still only getting luke warm after hours of play. May try extend the CTC tomorrow see how they cope :)

Attaching another fan in series for each motor will make you forget that problem like Forever ...

It is still on my todo list but at some stage I will get around to testing this gyro stabilizer with the Rift camera.

Your dead right, neither this, or the gyro stabilized platform will work by themselves.

@SilentChill. Could you provide the specifications of the motors that you used? Thanks!

Sorry for the lack of updates but I have been busy away on holiday in the sun and tweaking and adding to my rig.

I have added some gas dampers to the rig (4 of them) and I have no gone back to 95mm ctc arms. What a difference, I can play for hours and the motors don't get hot at all. Thanks and credit goes to @mrbeginner for pointing me at the video of the dampers in action. I could go with even longer arms and just add more dampers its such an amazing but simple solution to all the weight. For flight simming the extra length arms are needed and makes all the difference. I will get a FlyInside Prepar3d video done soon, but for now just cars and rollercoasters.

    Here's new videos,

Are you using filters such as washout in your motion profile to minimise the transition effect for roll and pitch?

I think NL2 would also benefit to the Elite Dangerous approach to roll and pitch, like @value1 implemented for p3D. If feels far more realistic for fast pitch and roll maneuvers.
