    Hi Speedy Thanks for the link , thats some serious enginering for a DIY project , so seriously sorry to hear about your misfortune and loosing the Sim , i dont think anyone can say how hard that must feel , but im guessing your nature wont let it stop you and you'll be back as they say, it may take time but once an inventor and your determination you'll make something happen ..     Hello @SilentChill,

    Fantastic build thread. I've read it cover to cover a couple times now - but I wanted to check with you to see what kind of brushed dc motors you're using at what voltage. Your 6 PSUs must supply a lot of power.. Do you have a recommended vendor? Give the choice of going back, would you have selected different motors? I can see you're using struts to alleviate some of the weight on the platform.. Also, I may dodge MMs and Ard boards altogether in favor of JRK boards - I'm kind of worried I will go through the same problem as you did with faulty MM boards.

    @eaorobbie, am I correct in understanding that 6 JRKs are needed to drive each motor? I know that Sabertooths can drive multiple motors, but not JRKs, I

    I just bought the PSU's off ebay from the cheapest place. The motors I used as I got them for free I just needed to refurb them a little. I think more powerful motors would be better obviously but the ones I have work just fine with the struts on. The biggest problem I had was heat, the motors would work great with long arms on but the heat just got the better of them. I can play all day now and heat is not an issue. I have enough movement and it feels great :)

    I have no idea about JRK's as I have not used them I would say @bsft is the best person to ask about them :)

    thanks @SilentChill , what motors are you using currently?
    Im not too sure about JRKS for a 6 DOF depending on the motors planned. And the weight they can carry all up. Yes you would need one JRK per motor.
    The JRKS will run 12v at 30 amps continuous with 45 amp spikes no problem. But that restricts it to a 200 watt motor , as the stall current is a lot higher.

    Hi to all,
    @SilentChill could you please share a screen shot of your setup on Game manager for DOFs.
    You mentioned that each Arduino Uno control two motors... which ones are they on your rig? are the motors fixed to the corner of the triangular based?
    Why did you not use two Arduino? SMC3 supports 3 dof, have a reason?

    How well is the oculus working on the 6dof platform? especially the rapid movements.. Any differences in a non motion platform..
    I have a 2dof now but planning to go to 6dof, but want to keep using the oculus!

    I imagined seeing the pictures that could be of 800/850 mm .
    I thought you have long arms to get them from 500 to 600 mm , they are good or are too long ?
    The inclination of the arms should be 45 ° or more is ?
    The supplier of the engines , makes configurations of Arduino boards , but it has refused to give me configuration support software / hardware with x - sim . He says I'm a fool and it is not possible that the engines are able to keep the weight and movement .
    We'll see .
    I think this will be the first project in the Swiss 6DOF .
