    Prosimu / Simtools
    I installed Simtools V3 normal with 4 SRT 80 and the fifth SNC6 cylinder in translation I use the same SCN interfaces and the same port as before and it does not work
    Obliged to keep Prosimu/Simtools so that it works? And is it possible to put my SRT 80 in this configuration?

    Hello all,

    I am trying to switch to Simtools 3.
    Installed it on a laptop (windows 11) so I can copy all settings from my main rig and test before the transition.

    I have MDBOX interface. Installed the plugin, selected the right port. Windows is detecting interface as USB serial port.

    When I hit "Test Settings" I get error: "unable to start interface"
    Whatever I do, I cannot get it to move the actuators. Any help would be appreciated.

    Perhaps others have more up to date information but my understanding, based on the advice of @Thanos, is that unfortunately the Syntron MDBOX protocol is unknown, instead the recommended replacement is the AASD-15A servos with the AMC-AASD15A motion controller: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/how-to-interface-an-sc-mbox-v3.17113/#post-228753

    I think something was misunderstood. I am not trying to connect to Syntron drive.
    I have Thanos interface in between. The setup was working but sometimes I would have to restart Simtools couple of times for it to start and occasionally the motion would just stop.

    I was having a problem with interface not wanting to start like from the first day I bought it. Sometimes I would have to restart Simtools 5 times or so for it to start. It was becoming worse and worse and now I cannot start motion at all. Note that I have second interface that is behaving exactly the same way, so I doubt it's a hardware issue with the interface itself.

    This is why I finally decided to move to windows 11, as I believe (hope) this is a software issue inside windows.
