    Stomper your project is looking very good, it is good to see so many Aussies on this forum, I agree with the comments on the welding this is why we have grinders, if you play around with the settings on the mig with practice you will find the sweet spot for welding whatever thickness steel and your welds will be much better, most important is the steel has to be very clean and always cut off the tip of mig wire before welding. I have found Gasless migs will always leave splatter so I have shielding gas Argon and welds are much better. I just hope my Sim turns out half as good as yours Cheers Ned
