    That is good.

Have you checked the balance as per the FAQ guide?

I guess you've seen this thread?
    https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...3dof-motor-driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/
I suggest you post a pic of the settings.
I'm not to the point to start using SMC3 for my rig and I'm not an expert at all but many other members are and I'm sure they will be able to direct you.
Anyway from the video it seems that the motor is not getting commands from the driver, are you sure there is movement?

If I hook a motor to it, it would actually move but not for long

My question is if use 24v psu should I get let them 24v out of motor drivers to actuate the motors? I really feel that my motors are strong enough but just not getting good power to them

nice work, it may be necessary to invest in a seat belt because it shakes well;)

@noorbeast i moved the linkage in toward the center and it was able to support me in the rig and thru a few races on live for speed, should I try and move it in a little more because it’s back to dropping one motor and the other stays up EA22C3C3-6024-45DF-ACE8-B528B5D102C6.jpeg

That sounds like the problem is better but not yet corrected. You seem to be on the right path. You should get the balance to the point when you sit in the chair you can make the seat tip front to back with very little shift of your weight. That gives the motors as much ability to move the platform as possible.

for example my setup which is similar to yours has just a bit of slack from the bolts that connect the tie rod ends to the motors. I can feel the click when the weight shifts from front to back and I can make that happen just by moving my hands closer to my chest or further in front of me. So when I am in the driving position the balance is almost perfect.

and you should probably be moving the location of the U-Joint pivot so it is not so front heavy.

Should I try and balance with linkage hooked to motors?

Unfortunately you may have to break it back down to move the pivot. Mine is welded on and I had to grind it down a few times and hammer it loose.

I was having the same problem as you. Motors would drop to the floor while I was waiting for a game to load. After moving the pivot forward it was then too back heavy and the seat would fall back and pull the motors up when it failed.

the advice I have seen on the forums would be to remove the seat and frame from the base. Then with everything else mounted (seat, wheel & pedals, + anything else you want to have like keyboard) find the balance point. I used a piece of conduit under the point I felt the pivot should go. Then you can slide the entire rig forward or backwards (with you seated in the chair) to find the point where you can rock forward and backwards with very slight weight shift.

maybe I can get a video up for you since I’m still right at that point working out some improvements.

EDIT: Here you go. I hope it helps.

I didn’t realize how important the balance need to be. Noorbeast mention it to me early in my build but I guess I took that for granted and just kind of guessed at my cg spot, can’t wait to get home to tear the rig apart redo everything and get it right this time. I have not bought the three 32in tvs that mount out front which they weigh 9lbs each, so I’m gonna slot my drive shaft hole so I can move the top rig back farther once I install them in the future, possibly after Christmas, lol… I really appreciate the info, I’m back to being excited again, THANKS!!!!!!!
