If you look at the prototype of the previous photos I had the rods of 300mm but the base was small, now each side measures 1000mm and making the rods too short with the movements I risk banging ...

Now I try it like this, in case I can shorten the tie rods again.

I did some tests with SMC3 and with 12V power supply the motors where the heaviest weight falls, the middle, so trying one at a time, they find it too difficult to move my weight (85 kg) while connecting the 24V power supply they have no problem to raise me so I would say that we are on the right track. Now I order three 24V 30A power supplies and I should be able to complete this ambitious project.

Which holes were you using on the levers? I'm sure the inside holes would be alot easier on those motors

Surely with the central holes the situation improves but at 24V it is another thing, more reactive and faster motors that manage to lift me quietly!

Thanks to your advice Keith I moved the tie rods to the shorter hole and the situation has improved a lot, now even at 12V the motors are able to shift my weight.

That looks awesome! Seems to have a pretty decent range of motion too.

Yes, already from the prototype I had noticed the potential, however I order the three 24V power supplies so there will be no problem.

The 24V power supplies have arrived and once connected I am having problems with SMC3 during calibration, one of the three arduinos has connection problems and the software crashes to the point that I have to restart windows to eliminate the active task. By reconnecting to 12V the problem disappears. Can anyone help me understand what happens ...?

Have you tried different usb slots? I often have usb issues.
Did you solder to the arduino's? I have had issues with lose connections while using there connectors

Hi Keith, to tell the truth no ... but on the same 12V USB port everything works fine while with 24V it locks and I have to restart the system to unlock.

On the strength of this, I added a hole on the keys of the motors at 30mm and with 12V it manages to move me wonderfully

Did you figure out what was going on with the 24v?

Unfortunately not, today I would like to try to connect each arduino on a physical port and not on a single usb hub

    So, solved the problem ....
By eliminating the USB hub and connecting each card to its own port, everything has resumed working normally on simtools while with SMC3, with everything connected, I select a port and go to move one of the two motors with "Motion". When I select the other motor while moving the first one, the application crashes. While if from "Motion" I go to "Manual", I select the other motor and I go to "Motion", everything works smoothly. These are the problems that occur. I tried to try everything a little so that, if many times the "creator" of the software wants to do a check maybe you can solve it if it were a bug.

After the USB problem here is a test of the axes setup with some modifications on the tuning center ...
However I can say that the experiment works and is fun even with my featherweight (85 kg)...
