And while very artisanal and a bit ugly, it served its purpose ....

After the various cuts of the boards I presented all the components to see the result (I should learn to make drawings first ... :grin)

You certainly have been busy with the redesign, nice work :thumbs

When the dust settles and you have a bit of time it would be great to see a video of your rig in action.

Of course, I call my trusted tester and I do ....
However, I have a problem that I cannot understand, one of the 3 Arduino boards is constantly disconnected, always the same, it loses the USB data for an instant but it is enough to stop the two connected axes. Has this happened to someone before ... ??

It got stuck even while I was making the video I had to post so I tried to lower "Intensity level" in "Profile Editor" from 100 to 80 and it doesn't freeze anymore ... as if too high signal peaks give problems to the card!

I confirm what was written before by doing other further tests, lowering "Intensity Level" in "Game Manager" I no longer had USB signal interruptions. Hope it will be of help to anyone with this kind of problem!

Thanks noorbeast, the arduinos 3 are on a controller that only houses them so I think it's optimal.

That looks pretty good and USB2 is actually more robust than USB3. Are you using quality USB cables and Ferrite Magnets to limit interference?

While lowering the Intensity Level a bit, like 3-5 degrees, should make a difference, down to 80% is a lot and adds a lot of global smoothing, so I would suggest further investigation and experimentation.

The cables I think are good, they are Amazon Basics protected against interference, the ferrite cores I have ordered and tomorrow they will arrive and now I have disabled the "Selective Suspend" of Windows and I try if it has improved the thing.

I confirm that the problem is exclusively of USB (thanks again noorbeast that you directed me) in fact by connecting the card that always disconnected in a HUB controller different from the other two the problem no longer occurs, however different USB disconnections continue to be discovered. Let's see tomorrow when the ferrite clips arrive how it goes.
