    Hey guys,
I'm new here, so first of all ... hi to you all.
I'm from Belgium and I'm intrested in having my own 6 dof.
They only problem is I'm a total noob when it comes to electronics and building stuff myself.
Anyway, maybe when going through lots of topics I could get a feel of it and it could be a start.
I've got to start somewhere right ...)

Just love this site, so much information to go through. I found this website in my search for information, on how to build my own 2DOF simulator.

My name is Anders and I come from Denmark.
I work as a toolmaker, making moulds for plastic injection and a lot of the time operating CNC machines.
My strong side is mechanical and not electronic. So I hope to get some advice in here.
My goal is to build a 2DOF simulator with SCN5 actuators, with a welded frame.

    Can't wait to get started.

Thanks to all of you for posting all this information.

    Hey guys,
My name is Dean and i'm new to the forums. I've got a basic understanding of electronics and I'm now in the process of building a 3dof simulator (2dof + yaw) mainly for Assetto Corsa. After reading through the forums here I've realised its quite possible to build one of these simulators so I'm learning as I go.

Welcome @daddyde, another ussie joins the fold!

You have come to the right place for DIY motion simulation software, information and support from a very active community.

If you are building a motion simulator for racing then you would be better of with traction loss not yaw, they are actually 2 different things. See here for details on traction loss: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/traction-loss.174/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here, as I and many other members would be interested in following your progress: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Feel free to ask questions, there is a very active community here that is good at giving tips during planning, reviewing purchase lists, giving feedback and encouragement during the build and providing advice on actually sorting out motion profiles.

    Good luck with your project.
