    Hi All,

I'm Arno from the Netherlands, owner of ArcadeWinkel.nl and just started a 2DOF sim project as a kind of demo project for our webshop (and a new hobby for me of course! ). I'm very inspired by Floriske's and bsft's project.

    Grz,
    Arno

    Hi guys,

My name is Erwin Levasier, i'm 40 years old, and i'm a proud owner of a Frex.
The reason i signed up at this forum, is because i have a question, i will ask this question in the right topic, and hopefully i find the right answer.
And i will show my cockpit, it's always nice to see how other people shake around.

    Hi Duncan and welcome!

There are actually not a lot of working DIY 3DoF' available.
Check the one of aldoz here.
The setup with winches and jrk is really borderline for a 3DoF. There are also several 230V projects shown in the forum - most work in progress...

    Hi!
My name is Marcin and I'm from Poland.
I built my simulator since 2 years. It is a 4 DOF electric AC actuator racing sim.

I search solution for starting my simulator at lower position and back to lower position after game.
Actually I use test plugin and slider.

    Greetings,
    Marcin

    Hi all,

I'm new in this commutity here and my name is Rolf from Germany.

Since a couple of years I'm interested in flightsimulation with X-Plane. Sometimes I enjoy simulation together
with a real pilot and his instructions for me.
I'm building a B-737NG home cockpit with replicas and original devices and instruments.
I'm familiar with electronics as well as metal and wood processing in a certain frame.

My dream is to build a full motion platform for my cockpit. I discovered this forum here by chance today and hope to get
    support for may project.

    regards

    Rolf

Are you serious? Do you *really* have a 6-screen setup around your cockpit?
    Cool! 8)

Hi everyone! I am so glad to have found this site. I have been so fascinated with flight ever since I was a little boy. Unfortunately, I was born in a third world country and couldn't afford to take flying lessons. I was way older when I moved to the US and took on Paragliding instead. I built my first simulator with the Joyride plans but got bored with it without the motors to control the motion. So, I parked it for a year until that voice in my head keep tellling me you need a motion sim, you have to install a motor to the Joyrider Woke up one day and told myself I can't give up.

I have been reading Thanos' AV motion sim V1.5 and the H Bridge for the past couple of weeks. I'm overwhelmed and don't know where to start. I decided to first buy the 2 circuit boards (thanks to an Ebay seller who made these board and selling extras:
Board 1 is : AVR Motion Controller V1.5 Updated 13-8-2008
Board 2 is: Dual Simple Mosfet H-bridge v1.2b Updated 2-5-2008

Next up: Save some money to buy parts/components from Mouser or digikey.

I need a lot of help in wiring schematics guide. I am excellent in soldering and fixes my own tvs and assembled my PC. Please help in any way you can to reach my goal of having a fully functional motion simulator. Thanks for all the posts that I can read and learn from.

Oh by the way, I live in Idaho, US

    Good morning all,
I have found your site after investigating the availability of Force Feedback controllers already available.

We are looking into constructing a racing simulator based on rFactor for customers.

Most of the system is self explanetary so far, but the force feedback system is illuding me,

After several day googling it seems a DIY system is possible, i ahve electronics experience and it seems that DC servo motors directly driving the column is goingt o be the best way to go

My question is, does anyone have experience on interfacing such a motor to the PC , or on how rFactor sends its feedback data out over USB etc,

I hope you are able to start me off,

    Many thanks

    Rich

@robcoll Thats awesome! Next logical step would be to use 2 x HD Videoprojectors and a curved screen. Otherwise no chance to make it better :)

    A new entrant

    Hi,

I am Sanjay Dabke from Pune, India. Started as broadcast engineer, I changed the profession slightly to work with theme park design and development. I will be doing custom made many simulator rides for various parks in India. Thats why I thought to join here for authentic technical discussions before planning my rides. I hope you experienced guys will help me in answering my some times relevant and most of the times silly questions... ;D

    Great to be here.

    Warm regards,

    Sanjay

    Hallo

I am Tom from Poland. I am not going to build my 2/3DOF simulator from the very beginning since I have GS-4 seat from ultraforce already which I want to support with 2DOF or 3DOF platform to enhance immersion in iRacing.
