By truck motor, do tou mean pickup, full-size, or semi? Thought the same motor type that Thanos used in his joyrider would suffice.

Hi, I am a new member from the UK, not too interested in motion rigs as would not have the funds, but am more interested in transducers which it looks like will be supported in V2, although motion rigs arent why I am here I imagine it would be the ultimate toy :)

I hope that it's possible to simulate driving a car up to 100% with motion Simulator and HTC vive :)

    Welcome @leonard-erde

You have come to the right place, there is a really active community here who freely give of their time and expertise.

So far only a few games have Vive support, like DCS, Live For Speed and War Thunder, but other games like Project Cars plan on implementing Vive support.

SimTools supports motion for those and many other games.

If you are interested in building a motion sim then you will find plenty to get you started in the FAQs, from design software, dimension of sims, to PSUs, pots, motors, JRKs, Arduinos and Motor Monsters and more: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Good luck with your project.

Hello my is Zeaan. All the way from South Africa.
I am building a 2DOF 360 deg simulator for X-plane 10. Looks like im in the right place here. I need help reading the Pitch and roll data from X-plane.
I Am using an Arduino. I should be able to cover the Arduino coding, feedback and hardware (Although I will appreciate any advice on that as well.)
I am already reading the values from the serial monitor input (the one from arduino IDE) and turning the servos accordingly and providing feedback that stops the servos again. If I can substitute the serial monitor values with the ones received from X-plane, the simulator should work after only a few tweaks.. I hope...
Any advice will be appreciated!! :)

    Hi. Members

    Sorry to tell you all.

I introduce myself using Google Translator because I'm poor at English.

I'm very interested in DIY Motion Simulator.

So, I bought a Arduino Kit and I have been studying Arduino, electronics and programming.

But, I think it's tought on me. I don't always have the time for many things. (I am just a salaryman.)

So, I want to learn a lot of knowledge in this website.

    Thanks all.
