    Hi

New member here. Hopefully motion sim racer early next year...
Currently I am using a static rig which I would like to rebuild to a 3dof seat mover.
Have been searching information on other threads and would like to build a seat mover with at least 180 degrees of traction loss. Based on RacingMat's 4dof and 1 pin direction code. So the rig would be placed on wheels.

Already bought Arduino Uno and three Pololu G2 24v21 motor drivers.
Motors will be 24v 6a worm gear nidec motors (46:1). Two for the seat mover and one for the traction loss wheel. Three PSU's 24v 200w. I will start a thread in a month or two when all parts are sourced.

    All assistance will be appreciated...

    Welcome @hartsa90.

I will look forward to following your thread and project.

You can ask members for further comments when you create your project thread but 180 degrees is not really necessary or even useful for traction loss speed wise, see here for some details on other members builds: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/traction-loss.174/

    Good luck with your project.

Hello! My name is Fábio and I am from Brazil, my english is not soo good, sry... :blush

I already build a 2DOF simulator last year with Arduino and Pololu drivers, is working fine, but with X-Sim software.
Now Im having some instability with X-Sim and only today I discovery XSimulador :p

So, Im wanna try XSimulator and see if work better for me. ;)

I posted my project on X-Sim forum, later I will post here too :)

    Thanks!

    Hi all,
Looking for a new Arduino project, i found this 2DOFs Sims hier and just felt in love with.
I thought „Why not starting moving real big motors“ :)

Now is time to study all the stuff here and convince my wife, that we need another room :)

    Hello!

I am a part of a non profit organisation that primarily is in to flight simulators and more specific full cockpit jet-fighters. Our simulator is the Swedish SAAB J35A Draken.

A while back we got hold of a 3DOF motion platform and our idea is to make a racing-simulator with VR, first of for Dirt Rally and later on perhaps Asseto Corsa, iRacing and Project Cars. We also have an idea that we should be able to change the "top" to either aircraft- or helicopter setup.

I´m looking forward to take a deep jump in to this lake of knowledge. :thumbs

    Welcome @Freakspoon.

We will need to know more about your 3DOF simulator.

If your 3DOF is a commercial product then start a thread here and provide details of the sim, like model, control boards and some pictures: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/commercial-simulators-and-peripherie.52/

If it is a DIY simulator then start a thread here and post as many details as possible on your own project thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Good luck with your project.
