    Welcome @PIM1.

Hard to stop adding things or making rig improvements when you hang around here, there are just so many interesting and creative projects ;)

When you are ready please start your own project thread and show off your rig.

If your rig is DIY then create the thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

If yours is a commercial motion rig then post here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/commercial-simulators-and-peripherie.52/

Hello all! I've been looking around for a few weeks collecting ideas of how to build a rig. I'm very impressed with the community support here. I'm planning starting with a 2 DoF and working up to (hopefully, maybe) a 6 DoF. However, I feel like I've got quite a bit more reading to do before I get started. I think it will be a rewarding project.

    Google Translate -
Hello again. I'm going to get to the point. I attest that this is the best and most extensive forum in simulators and all the material and information it collects is of the most valuable, but the fact that it is only in English, for those who do not have such a language, it becomes one Difficult correct translation and, in turn, a perfect understanding on both sides, since neither the translation is correct to understand nor express what it means at a given time. It's terrible, but I try to do it the best way. That said, I wanted to ask for some help getting the license, and I created a thread with the photos of my project with Arduino, moster, potentiometers, motors ... and for a month I am a member, but I do not know how to move forward to have Access to it. What do you advise me to do to get a license? The truth is that I am a little desperate ... Thank you and I hope you understand me. A greeting. Hector.

While I understand your frustration regarding language, being an international forum the requirement on Xsimulator.net is that you can dual language post as long as you also include a Google Translation in English, particularly if you are asking for help, as that saves members time working out what response is required.

We have many bilingual members, so if Google Translate is poor they can help with clarification.

In many cases you will find answers in the FAQs, so it pays to check there first: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

This is the FAQ link to applying for a DIY license: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/request-a-free-diy-simtools-2-0-license.262/

Hello! About 3 weeks ago I saw a video of a professionally built motion simulator on YouTube. Instantly, I knew I had to have one, but didn't like the price point and unitask design of most of them and knew I had to build one. After a grand total of maybe 2 minutes on Google, I had found these forums. Since then I've been sinking most of my free time into pouring through the overwhelming amount of information contained in the posts here, and I have to say I've felt like my brain could pour out of my ears from knowledge overload more than once. I'm currently in the planning phase of my own build, and trying to decide what kind of rig I want to start out with. With a little luck, and a few dozen more hours digesting the forums, I might actually start getting some of it down on paper before opening my wallet and begging my wife for forgiveness.

    Welcome @dragoon.

There are some members here with exceptional skills but most of us came to sim building just like you, having no real clue but wanting to get into motion simulation. Fortunately the members here freely share their time, advice and expertise with anyone willing to give motion simulation a go.

There is a bit to get your head around initially but it is not as complex as it first seems, there are just so many choices to make around design and parts which depend on your own goals, skills, resources and where you are in the world.

A bit of time spent planning is time well spent, and the community here can help you out as you formulate your ideas about what you want to build, which will save you time, money and frustration, so post your thoughts and kick your ideas around with the community even in the planning phase.

Have a look at existing member builds, that may help you refine your own project: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Hello Everyone, My name is Ji Qi, you all can call me G. I am from China, Working at a VR company that build all kinds of simulators. the hardware is pretty good, but the games that we made for the hardware SUCKs. So I started poking around trying figure out how to play AAA game on our hardware. then I found this site... Is like heaven on Earth.

I no nothing about Electronic or hardware or handcraft. Unlike most of the people who single handily trying to build their own simulators, I was amazed at what people are doing here.

I am a Game Designer(more like Game Planner) with almost no experience, An entrepreneur started 3 companies failed all of them(and lost a lot of money), a Lifelong Learner (I believe in learning), and most importantly a gamer (I believe game should make people better, and today most company use games to ripping people off. like pay to win MMO, and cell phone game)

So if you need anything, like contact a Chinese factory to manufacturing or produce something, or getting to Chinese market or need contact a Chinese Business. I know my way around here. or even start a company or something. just hit me up. I would leave my e-mail here, but not sure that's allowed. Anyway, is nice to be here getting to know you all.

You can duel post in Chinese as long as you also include an English translation.

We have bi-lingual speakers from many different language groups so if Google Translate really messes it up they can help clarify what was intended.

Robert here. Newb as well and exploring all the resources. Finally decided it was time to go motion and just a matter of deciding what to start with to make that happen. Software and electronics experience but limited shop access. The extruded stuff is looking good because of that but it's a second choice though much more practical than... Would love to have the equipment to bend and weld large diameter tubing but that's just a pipe dream me thinks. We have a local powder coating place that could turn something like that into a work of art. Lots of decisions ahead.
