Might be ugly but the list of devices and people machines saved by the test has grown over the past 12 months.
And is one of the reason I don't recommend wiper to newbies they are dangerous to your system unless isolated properly, cost me a G25 Wheel and PC Motherboard.
Hence I hurried up produced a simply pic most language's could understand and put the information out there. Actually noticed it got attach to a lot of peoples how too's, lol. May be a better pic and write up could be done if time persisted one of those jobs waiting for time.

Not Sure if this is the right place for this but here I go, I'm Michael and live in Sydney, Australia and I am looking at building a 3 DOF rig not sure to buy kit or build outright. I stumbled over this website and hopefully I will be able to attain information /guidance in building my rig. I have reasonable mechanical aptitude and a quick learner

Build your own alot more fun, but would recommend attempting a 2dof unit first as the expense of building a 3dof can be quiet large. Depending on how you wish to use the third DOF, as heave can result in the need for 240v driven motors. But to do this as a yaw movement, not too hard.
We have a member in Sydney, with a couple of different simulators to look at Contact Motiondave, his ya local.

Hi Michael, welcome here. I am really delighted to see a lot of members are coming from the other side of earth...at the same time i am wondering about it:)
May i ask you for personal interest how you have find us?

I agree with Rob, you could consider to start with a 2DOF for learning purposes and to have quick results and keep the third pivot in mind for later.

    Hi !
    I'm Erwan from France.
I built a 2DOF simulator with DC motors and JRK 12V12. I use it only with Project CARS.
Since I installed Windows 8.1, I can't make x-sim working anymore... I hope I can find help here by testing the new beta software !

Try SimTools instead. It is being developed for XP, Win 7 and Win 8, all 32bit (x86) as well as 64bit (x64).
    ;)

no xsim here, only simtools, drop a line to Rene - Admin and ask if you can become beta tester. Simtools WAY better than the "other" software.

Why use that program? SimTools works better! Just ask for access.

PM RaceRay (scroll up and you will see his post) and ask. Simple as that.

Once you have access to the SimTools Beta section you can ask for help installing or better yet read the Quick Start guide found here:
