    Hi XSim community!

I'm Darryl from Whitby, New Zealand. I'm a Euro Truck 2 Sim, American Truck Sim and Dirt Rally junkie.
I have no experience in electronics other than very basic stuff from College - 16 years ago

Found this amazing place after searching for DIY wheels. Using my DS4 for tilt controls and a keyboard for everything else just isn't cutting it anymore.

After cruising the forums i've decided i'll give a button board a go first to make life a bucket load easier. If that works out, well... There'll be no stopping me from trying out a FFB wheel and motion sim.

Thank you to all the contributors here. Your work is truly astounding and inspiring.

Hey just checking out this forum and oping to get some insight on getting some bass shakers setup in Project Cars 2. Currently I have been playing around with Simvibe to no avail. Hopefully Simtools will be a worthwhile endeavor. Thanks for all the hard work!

Hello! I'm profetadelmus from Spain. I'm comming from xsim (seems a bit dead) and i hope that i can improve my sim here.

I have a question. So, i already have a DIY 2DOF xsim based, i'm eligible for a DIY license if i publish my construction thread and 30 days community activity?

    Thanks!

Hello all, my name is Moe and I live in NJ/USA. I currently have a 3 dof ProSimu rig on order, but came over here to do some research on building a 6 dof in the next year or so. I race cars in real life as a hobby ( ASA Stock Car in the V8 Road Racing Series ) and I also own a High Performance Driving School. I used to be a flight sim junky back in the 90's when Warbirds was the sim of choice. I hope to put together a rig for racing and flight sims.

I'm a very experienced fabricator and have pretty much everything at my disposal to weld/mill/etc but I'm completely clueless as to the electrical and software interface. I'd appreciate any info or links for choosing motors, controllers, boards, etc. I'm hoping to learn here!

Hello, my name is Matthew from the United States. I am with a group of 6 engineers from Oral Roberts University in an effort to build a 6DOF flight simulator for educational purposes. We have performed some research and have built an RC small scale model, but we also have some questions. I'll start a project thread after a couple of postings so I can include a link to the video of our RC model.

    Welcome @staticshock.

We have a number of similar educational based members at the moment.

You will likely find the FAQ 6DOF section useful: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/6dof.22/category

And you can use the custom Google search top right to find all 6DOF projects, which are worth reviewing as they well answer some of your questions.

New Member from Canada here. I play a lot of dirt rally and Euro truck simulator 2 in VR using just a playseat and my HTC vive. Just jumped in and ordered a DOF reality 3dof motion rig to take it to the next level of immersion. Dirt Rally is the big one for me. Excited to get into the world of motion simulation. Maybe in the future I can try to build my own fancy 6dof unit with enough time and learning.
