    Welcome @Chewwie2.

Best to start your own project thread, even with your test model, and pose your questions on it.

But for now if you mean RC servos then the code and setup instructions are here on the FAQs: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/build-a-working-model-to-test-your-design-ideas.216/

And setting up a motion profile is here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

Hello sim drivers I'm Marco, I use the dynamic sim for a couple of years, now I would try my 3dof, now 2 dof because I burned a motor, with Spy01 cards with simtools that seems like a great product more frendly than xsim. I will have your help ...

    Welcome @M.Giulini

You can duel language post but it is part of the Forum Rules that you also include an English translation: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/forum-rules.9527/

We have bi-lingual speakers from many different language groups so if Google Translate really messes it up they can help clarify what was intended.

You will find a whole section in the FAQs dedicated to setting up and tweaking SimTools: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-settings-tips-and-tricks.18/category

When you are ready please start your own project thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Hi

    Just another new person :)

Just working through the faq and forum posts. I will say there are a lot of "google holes" to go down (searching for "would you like to know more")

Every post I read, I learn more.

I need to learn more before I start asking questions.

    Welcome @kingwinkie.

The rabbit hole is indeed deep but there is a wealth of member information to help get you started and the community here gives freely of their time and expertise.

Doing some research and planning is time well spent, and the Xsimulator.net community can help you out as you formulate your ideas about what you want to build and even where you can source parts from. A bit of research and consultation will save you a lot of time, money and frustration.

I look forward to following your build thread once you get started.

Yes you had a very nice build thread.

I am a firm believer in "fast, easy, cheap, then pick 2" Just still at the point of what do I build (rig) verse what can I source locally /what do I have I have to buy.

Just still at the point of figuring out what I don't know (verses what I should (know))

    Not a bad principle!

Have a look at existing member builds, that may help you refine your own project ideas: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

You will find plenty to get you started in the FAQs, from design software, dimension of sims, to PSUs, pots, Hall Sensors, motors, JRKs, Sabertooths, Arduinos and Motor Monsters and more: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

There is a glossary for common acronyms, which will help you decipher some descriptions: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

Hi Everyone, another new member today! I played Asseto Corsa at a friends house in VR and am hooked. He didn't have a motion sim but I am dead keen on getting one up and running to mod his system, then apply the concept to my own future setup ;)

I harassed noorbeast on Reddit today and now I'm here to do my research and start a build thread. I'm a mechanical engineering technologist so I want to put a lot of effort into designing a product that fulfills the "haptic feedback" motion platform idea--short travel, high force movements--while being easy to build and inexpensive.

Anyway, I'll be poking around and asking lots of questions, so sorry in advance ;) And thanks for making so many resources available for this endeavour. See y'all around!

Thanks for the warm welcome noor. I'll be digging deep into the archives of discussions and projects. Always best to build on the shoulders of those who have gone before, then sprinkle a little personal pizazz in once things seem to be doing what they're supposed to. At least that's what I'm going to try to do, instead of building a whole system from scratch.

Hello I am Sven from Germany mitlerunter I drive Sim for 5 years. Of course, the "racing place" has continued to evolve until I began in late 2017 to build my first 2Dof Motion. Will this little report of my Motion still create because I am so far now that the hardware is done with the software cabling and first attempts without the X-Sim software could do.

    Hi Noorbeast,

For the moment I have the servos motor, my arduino, I miss the links that should arrive, I try for the moment to configure my arduino to operate the engines on x-plane11 with arduino codes encountered on the web for make a platform to Stewart. I still have many things to discover again before I've already seen several great achievements of X-Simers, I started reading the FAQ.

    Thank you for your support.
