    Hi all,

New to the forums. Have experience with kart racing and some touring cars but new to sim racing. Doing a lot of research. Currently leaning towards a Prosimu T1000 DOF3, but we'll see where I end up when I'm finally ready to purchase. Looking forward to learning more.

Perfect. Thanks @noorbeast . I typically lurk in the shadows and read, but will definitely start a thread if necessary.

    Welcome @Bashar Abu Muaileq.

SimTools only requires a net connection once, for license registration, it can then run offline.

You will find plenty to get you started in the FAQs: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

Including a section on SimTools: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-settings-tips-and-tricks.18/category

And various code for different hardware: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/arduino.6/category

I would suggest you try the SMC3 code, as that has a handy application for doing configuration settings: http://www.xsimulator.net/community...3dof-motor-driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here and post details about your simulator on it, including your video and any questions you may have: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Hello everyone,

Thanks for the wealth of information to be had here on this site. I've been reading through the many pages of @Nick Moxley's build thread and I hope to follow his lead as far as design is concerned. I like his approach.

My current rig is stationary and was something I diy'd for use with Iracing, Project Cars 2 and Assetto Corsa. (really looking forward to AC Competizione). I use an Oculus so the need for triple monitor mounts will be put off initially. I have yet to order any parts since I'm still reading up on things here but I definitely have the itch and I can't wait to get started. Knew I'd find a good use for those server psu's, lol

For anyone who hasn't already seen it, here is the build that I will base mine on:
    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/2dof-to-3dof-diy-seat-mover.5271/

Once I have the coins to do so, I will download the simtools software and begin trying to wrap my head around everything involved in setting that up, ugh. Hopefully the learning curve isn't too steep.

Guess it's time to get reading.
Thanks again for this great site,
    Marc

I'm adding links here for my own reference later ( hope it's okay)

    Greetings from Australia!

I've recently taken possession of a ProSimu T1000 5 dof which is being a bit of a princess.

Rear actuators cut out after a few minutes of play. The manufacturer is being less than helpful so any gurus that could help me out would be more than appreciated

Sorry if this isn't where I should be asking

    Welcome @Leadf00t.

Start a thread in the Commercial section and add a bit more detail about the circumstances, like is it triggered by a crash or it is the PSU going into protection mode, or something else: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/commercial-simulators-and-peripherie.52/

Hello all. I am looking to ease my way into racing immersion. I am going to start with GameVibe/Transducer project this September. With the ultimate goal to build a 3DOF rig. But I have to attain many skills to reach that goal :).

Thanks, and looking forward to learning and interacting with the community. :)
