Hi, I'm also a newbie. I've had a wheel and pedals for several years and enjoy racing in VR (Oculus). I'm considering jumping in with both feet and getting a DOF P6. The more I read on here, the more I'm wanting to stretch my budget!

Hello, I am a SFX100 4 Dof motion platform owner but want to ad a traction loss module to it.
this cannot be done with my existing Arduino Leonardo, and I want a second
controller to use 5e DOF for tractionloss .
I'am using " Simfeedback " for it so I have no code
Thus I want to buy Simtools if somebody can give me source code for second controller ?

That includes various code options for Arduinos: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/arduino-code-for-use-with-various-hardware-and-simtools.31/

But I would suggest you start with the SMC3 code, as it has a handing configurations app: http://www.xsimulator.net/community...3dof-motor-driver-and-windows-utilities.4957/

Hi, I'm very new here, I am just doing due research into motion platforms and this site seems to be a wealth of information.
At this point in time my main vice is American Truck Sim (& ETS2), I have in the past been into racing sims (mainly NASCAR 2003 & R Factor) and flight sims namely IL2.
I have been doing a lot of research watching reviews on you tube trying to decide what best suits my needs and at this stage I am favoring a seat mover for my current use but in the back of my mind I'm thinking a full rig could / would cover any future desires.
I am trying to work out if building a DIY around my current home made cockpit would be worth the effort or adding a seat mover or going wild with a 3DOF rig??? these are the options I see at the moment, at this stage I am favoring the seat mover as the best option for my current use, and I can not see myself changing uses anytime soon.
Having driven trucks in the past I can see a seat mover for a truck sim would fit in nicely with a truck with a sprung (air or spring) seat.
I am in New Zealand so shipping is a big addition to the price of buying as well as exchange rates & local taxes & fees, this prices the full rig into the more than I am happy to spend territory.
I am comfortable building things and have tools but I am a bit clueless on how to convert computer out puts to actual movement? and I am by no means any sort of computer wizz.

I would be interested in your opinions and suggestions for my intended use, thanks.

    Hi everybody,

my name ist Henrik and I am quite fascinated on the effort of this community to get simulators and games running for the ultimate gaming experience.

Luckily I have the opportunity to use a professional 6DOF motion system for gaming purposes, but I am struggeling with setting it up via SimTools. After reading all the manuals I find myself some sort of lost due to the lack of coding skills - I only have a basic understanding. Therefore I hope the community can help me solving some issues I face.

I would really appreciate your help - thanks in advance for each and every hint you will hopefully give me!

    Cheers, Henrik

That's cool, post what you can, but basically for people to help we need to know how communication with the rig is handled.

    Completely new.
Being amazed by all the projects , spend hours just browsing trough the forums
The whole Motion Platform is a completely new thing to me.
Wish I would be handy enough to do a DIY , but I know my limits lol
Did order a Prosimu 2 DOF , a couple of days ago. Gonna be a new experience for me.
Really don`t know what to expect from it. Think it is something you just need to "feel"

    Thanks Noorbeast.
Though I think after being a bit active that Motion Simulators are really a "ninche" product?
Feels a bit the same as 3D vision , without the community it would have been dead years ago?
Thank god for this forum and the information, helps alot
