Hi! I'm ready to read and get a little stuffy. Anyway I already have a small experiment with simulators and with arduino. I know how to weld and I have manual work. See you soon with my project

    Hello from Spain!

I am new here, but also in simracing. Actually looking for the best way yo start (probably it will be a T300...), but what I really find interesting are all those DIY projects that are here... Lets learn little by little and one day I will try to do something similar!

Hey guys, I'm new here, my name is Faisal and I'm from Malaysia. I'm looking into making a diy belt driven wheel and hoping to upgrade it to a direct drive in the future. I've already compiled the prices for a lot of the parts and plan to make a post asking a bunch of stuff, so stay tuned for that if you're interested to help hehe

    P. S. I noticed there's only a dedicated DD wheel forum and non for belt driven ones for us on a extremely tight budget haha, might post there, hopefully it's not against the rules

Thank you, I've done so, but I am still quite anxious about a few things, I've already read quite A few threads about them.

Hello all - Im new and know nothing , thus am eager to learn as much as I can.

Always enjoyed sim racing on the PC from the early Toca touring cars on a sidewinder FFB wheel . To the present day offerings.
I suppose one could say I'm technically not overly young at over half a century , but I make up for it by my mental age which is considerably lower ( or so I have been told)
A motion rig is something Ive yearned for a long time, so I treated myself to an earlyish surprise Christmas present .
And as soon as the fixings arrive (an honest mistake by the manufacturers) I will begin the assembly and Ill be a proud owner of a t1000 2dof platform.

I play in VR so I am hopeful that the platform will increase the immersion levels further.
I know I will no doubt get slower - but I don't care about that . well not much any way.

Hopefully I wont ask too many inane questions as the FAQs look darned detailed . Just have a lot of reading to do.

So just to say hello ( again)

    Ochso
    (pronounced like the beefy drink)

    Welcome @Ochso.

Just so you know there is a dedicate thread for commercial rigs, so please start a new thread there and share your rig, plus post any questions you may have: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/commercial-simulators-and-peripherie.52/

The FAQs are a great place to start.

With VR and motion keep in mind that more is less when creating motion profiles, you want the rig to have fast and precise movement, not large axis movements.

Have fun with your Xmas present.

    Hello, I'm Kai from China.
I'm working as a car engine component engineer for a Japanese company, I'm interested in everything related with cars.
I started sim racing games from 2018, after building my static rig and some devices with simhub, I took the challenge to make a 2dof , that's why I found here.
I've already started my project and almost finished.
Glad to know friends from all over the world!

    Hi guys!

    Gary here from Ireland.
I started sim racing back in 2002 on a ps2 with a logitech force feedback wheel.
My cousin and I made a rig, when I was living in Boston out of an old rowing machine, some plywood and a plastic bucket seat bought from Jegs!
    It was Awesome!
When I moved back home I fully intended to build the MK2 rig, but getting married, kids, and house building ensured that it never happened......
So last year I bought a new feedback steering wheel and started looking online for ideas for a rig.
Then I found this site and I've had a headache ever since trying to get my head around finding motors, how to power and control motors etc, etc.
Anyway I've decided to build a 2Dof that I'll eventually add traction loss, at a later date.
I'll use Arduino with MMs to keep the cost down and I may use the scissor jack motors as they seem tobe the most cost effective option for me.
Anyway, I just want to thank everyone involved for all the info (and the headaches!!) and I hope to start a build log in the new year.

    Happy New Year all!!!
