    Welcome @highwind66.

When you get your actuators and I presume the @Thanos control board, you should find the SimTools section of the FAQs helpful: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here, ask any questions you have there and detail your project progress: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Good luck with your project.

Or search for specific types of projects using the Google Custom Search function on the Recent page: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/find-new/posts?recent=1

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here, ask any questions you have there and detail your project progress: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Welcome @morpw.

When you are ready start your own thread and show off your sfx100 rig.

I have been using all those already. Great source of information and my rig pretty much worked from the first test except for a few mistakes on my part. Just a couple settings I missed. Really happy I went the route I did.

I just want to say a big thank you to everyone involved in Simtools and Simvibe. So glad I decided to use these over other software. Even the default self tuning works really well. Ive had other software for vibes too and this is way easier to use with better options for setting it up. Still a lot to learn but im really impressed so far. Great job to all of you!

    Hi everybody!

First at all grats for the forum, grats for the projects and grats for the altruism.

I'm "new" here...I mean, I'm reading this forum since years ago, but now finally I have taken the step forward (after saving some money...) to make my own project.

I'll try to make similar to Christopher Knauf's version of rotary 6DOF (youtube search...).

I have the servomotors and the low backlash gears, also the thanos controller
My intention is to make a wooden lightweight version first, just to test measurements, tilt ability and speed.

My English could be not good at all as I'm from Spain.

    Hello all,
John from Sydney Australia. I have purchased and received 3 pt-actuator mega monter actuators and built an 8040 ally rig.....and that was the easy part! Now I have to learn how to set up without hurting myself, and I realise that I know nothing. Now I know how John Snow felt.....
    Will post pics when able.

    Welcome @Zippo246.

When you are ready please start your own project thread here, ask any questions you have about configuration there: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Do grab a copy of the SimTools manual and keep it handy for reference: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/rtfm-start-with-the-official-simtools-documentation.117/

Also check out the profile refinement tips in the FAQs: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

If you are testing with the included Live For Speed plugin then make sure you run the game in first person mode before patching it for motion, as that generates some required files: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...run-in-first-person-mode-before-patching.365/

I and others will look forward to checking out your rig and helping with advice where we can.

    Thanks Noorbeast.
Just noted that Live for Speed is a free fully functioning (but feature limited) demo....just joining all the dots.
