    Hi everybody!
I am new here and very happy to find this Forum. I am trying to build my Simulator using PLC, I need to know if it is possible to communicate Simtools through Network to PLC or a Motion Controller!

    Best regards

    Welcome @Hermant Alexis.

    Thanks for sharing your project.

The members here are a great resource, as they willingly share their experience and expertise.

So too are the FAQs, which is the best place to start when you have a question or problem: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

Raise questions you do have on your build thread, so all the in formation is in one place, which makes it easier for others when they offer advice or assistance.

    Goof luck with your project.

Good day to evetyone! I am new to xsimulator but not to simulators in general! I will be trying my hand at building a 6 DOF simulator with linear actuators :)

    Welcome @alexsepulved.

Any 6DOF is an ambitious and expensive project. So doing some research before getting in any deeper is time well spent.

You will find plenty of helpful information in the FAQs, in particular check out the SimTools, fundamentals of motion and the design sections, plus the 6DOF section: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

As there have been many refinement to DIY actuator design and control search for specific 6DOF projects using the Google Custom Search function on the Recent page, then filter by date: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/find-new/posts?recent=1

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here, ask any questions you have there and detail your project progress: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Good luck with your project.

    Hey guys,

my name is Michael and I am a 34yr old IT guy living near munich.
My dream is to create the most immersive and complete scifi-adventures for people to experience, building a starship-simulator including quarters, engineering sections, maintenance shafts, "outside" areas, motion animated platforms for bigger bridges and smaller vessels etc... interactive and personalized through the use of custom soft- and hardware and gamemasters which host and "guide" through the scenarios.

Since 2016, I am working on my own spaceSim / bridgeSim (using Unity) to make this possible and it's coming along rather well. Now here I am and it is time to implement some data output for motion simulation.

The build will follow much later, but I am persistent ;)

    Cheers,
    Spaceman

    Hi Spaceman,
    wellcome to the community!
Your project sounds interesting! Will it be for commercial use or private?
As I live in Munich east, we can meet somewhere here to have nice conversations

Hi guys, 41 year old kid from Norway here. 2 children, dog, Skoda and hopefully a 3DOF sim rig in the near future. Gaming, flyfishing and golf fill my days when I'm not playing taxi-simulator driving the kids around.

Hope you guys can guide me around in this money drain :)
