    Hello,

My name is Donovan. I am in Canada and looking for insight into building my first motion simulator.
I have been looking at some of the fantastic builds on this site and taking inspiration from them.
I am mostly interested in flight sims but also would like to try some racing as well.

Hey, I'm here. Consider me instroduced now. I have taken on someone elses project. <Enter frustrtration and depression her>>
They have it running but it needs some work again. Previous owner wasn't able to spend time to chase the issue,. So I have taken it on and know absolutely bugger all about setting these up. Have always used working plug and play ones in the past at friiends places.

Previous owner is a good dude and has given me some tips, which I can barely remember. Got to get some documentation to refer to which I reckon should be here somewhere. I just don't know what I am looking for.

Some dark times ahead me thinks.

Hello I'm a new member and will work to build my first diy 2dof racing simulator as a hobby. I'm from the Philippines. I follow this link https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/my-finished-2dof-project-videotutorial.16214/

I'm overwhelmed also to this group as how I can start to my build, right now I just purchase a 1 motor and some few parts to explore. I'm also confused on coins system it keeps decreasing:thinkand don't know if my coins become zero if still I can download and ask a questions to this group.

Hey Guys, first new member of the new week ;-)
my name is Timo and i am very interested in building a seatmover for my Simlab GT-1 EVO rig. I am from Germany and 29 years old.

I am not very experienced in mechanics or arduino setups so the way to go for me is probably something like the simukit 2dof kit and a good step by step tutorial.
I already found many good ideas for the hardware-part so that should not be a problem.
I'll read the faq's for the software part and hopefully that will help me enough to get started. Right now i am overhelmed with the amount of information in the faq so the first hours spent are probably just finding the right answers for my questions.

Since i own two 3d printers and gained a lot of experience with them i maybe can help some of you struggling with that.

    Welcome @PyroBlaze13.

Many of us started in the same position, with a dream and lots to learn. And it certainly does not hurt the motion and VR are an awesome combination, when done right.

    Hi all,
I'm a retired teacher and muso In Tasmania, Australia who's into flight sims and rc model airplanes these days. I had a PPL, mainly flying gliders, but had to hand it in due medical issues some years ago. Just getting into designing and building my own motion rig for Flight Sim 2020. I have experience with building astronomical telescope mounts many years ago so the fabrication part is OK for me, I just need to learn what components work best etc. I'll start off with 2 degrees of freedom with the 3rd degree as an option in the design for later. Anyway, glad to be here and learn from the community. :)
