Hello, I am kaj live in sweden, have some experiences into rigg building, builded a joyrider with a dome projector screen to it.

But now i have gone wild, i have begin to make a prototype for a sphere/hamsterball motion simulator. I will start a tread son about it. I'm already on TIKTOK with it

I hope i can help someone or get some ideas from you guys and girls

    Welcome @SweVRs.

Spherical rigs are complex and in terms of simulation also have other challenges, so do plenty of research, start off small with a working model. Testing out ideas and building news skills is a great way to start, particularly if you aspire to build a spherical rig as your first project.

You will also find plenty of helpful information in the FAQs, particularly the Design section: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

Including how to build RC powered rigs, with the required Arduino code: https://xsimulator.net/community/faq/build-a-working-model-to-test-your-design-ideas.216/

Use the Enhanced Google Search on the Recent page to find specific types of projects or topics.

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

Once you have some project ideas and preliminary build ideas in mind please bounce your plans and shopping list off members, before jumping down what can be an expensive rabbit hole, if you get it wrong.

When you are ready please start your own project thread here, ask any questions you have there and detail your project progress: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Good luck with your project.

    Hello everyone,

I introduce myself, I am Gustavo from Chile, I am a computer scientist by profession and passionate about the world of robotics...
I have wanted to build a racing simulator for a long time, but the cost did not allow it.

But the other day I found a simulator in very bad condition in a junkyard, I picked it up... and here we are...
It has 1 plate that I don't recognize, it must be from the previous manufacturer, 2 motors and two frequency modulators, I will start by cleaning and checking if the motors are good.
My idea is to implement it with Arduino, from what I have reviewed in this forum it is a way to implement.

Thanks to the XSimulator.net community and its moderators for gathering so much useful information to get started.

My native language is Spanish, I hope the translator will help me.

    Greetings,

Hi. My name is Gabriel, and I'm from Poland. Because I often play racing games, I wanted to enhance the gaming experience, so I've been interested in building my own 3DOF rig for about half a year. During the first few weeks, I spent my time searching for information and looking at various projects on the internet. One day, I came across D Max's YouTube channel. There's a guy named Dave who runs a vlog about building his own rig. He inspired me to start constructing my own DOF3 rig.

About two months ago, I began building my own rig, and today I'm almost done with the work. I've managed to set up and use the rig in various games, and I'm very proud of it.

I'm generally interested in automotive topics, which led me to build a racing simulator. Additionally, I'm into electronics and technology. I work as a mechanic, and having access to tools has been crucial in building my rig.

Throughout the past few weeks, you've accompanied me during the construction, and I would like to sincerely thank you for that and hope that comunity will grov even better in the future.

Hello, I am Jaden AKA Blastertoad. New here of course, and greatly apreciate the knowledge and help I have allready gotten here. I am currently a contract indie game dev ( gameplay programmer focusing on rapid prototyping and visual scripting in Unreal Engine) so am looking forward to testing telemetry output prototyping test games for my motion rig. I am or may not share :).

Which brings me to why I am here. I have just recently become the owner of an abused VART 3DOF VR Racing Sim. It is an AC motor 3dof 3 axis very heavy motion platform.

This is a prebuilt comercial platform and I will continue to use the controller and motors as long as they last, however I have modified this rig and have plans to continue modding it. As such I must ask should I be posting about this project under Comercial Simulators or DIY Motion Simulators sub forum?

    Hi I'm Jono, Victoria Australia
I'm new to most of the skills and expertise required to build a motion simulator. Somehow i came across youtube videos of diy builds and was led to this site. After spending the last two weeks reading and watching content and information provided from this site and finding a few parts on FB marketplace. Ive decided to have a crack.

It appears the site and community have the knowledge and patience to get a noob like me of the ground. so I'm willing and keen to get into it.

    Thanks in advance
