    Welcome @Doga Darko.

The Welcome thread is not for build related questions, so please start your own project thread here, ask any questions you have there and detail your project progress: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

You will find plenty of helpful information in the FAQs to get you started: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

That includes helpful tools such as SimCalc, where you can experiment with the tradeoffs between design and physics: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...e-linear-speed-and-forces-of-your-design.270/

    Good luck with your project.

hello friend my name is Stephane,
I am near Paris, I have just acquired equipment forgotten in a corner for several years, a 6dof DC motor project abandoned by the previous owner,
I already own a 2dof Meg wiper motor ice cream,
I use the translate because my English is not great, I have already been reading the forum for a while,
this future project hopefully will come to fruition..

have a good day everyone ;)

    Hi friends,

I'm an electrical engineer from Hungary. A DIY builder and simulator enthusiast with many project builds.
Built a 3D printer, hacked a Rigol oscilloscope, did an eBike conversion, put a DRO on my mini mill, built an FFB joystick to name a few.
I have a finished 2DOF seatmover for which I'm planning to change the firmware and drive it with your nice SW ;)
I've been using Assetto Corsa since its release and DCS for more than a decade. Also built a collective for the KA50 heli in DCS.

For my racing rig I designed and built an ODB2 dashboard powered by Arduino, with real analogue RPM gauge and 7 Segment LED displays, put in a real Opel front dashboard panel.
I'll upload the details (schematics, code, etc ).

Have a nice day to all!

    Hi,
I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Alex and I live in Germany. I've already been looking at an Sfx 100 and now want to upgrade to a 6 DOF. While looking for a usable controller, I came across Thanos' website. From there I came across Pedro’s software. That's how I ended up here in the forum. I'm still at the very beginning of planning for a 6 DOF. It should definitely be equipped with linear actuators. My desire to primarily drive a train simulation with the 6 DOF is certainly very exotic here. :) I look forward to any support. Alex

    Welcome @Train Driver.

Any 6DOF is an ambitious first project. So doing some research before getting in any deeper is time well spent.

Bounce your plans and shopping list off members before jumping down what can be an expensive rabbit hole, if you get it wrong.

Use the Enhanced Google Search on the Recent page to find the latest member 6DOF projects, as there have been many refinements to how members build 6DOF rigs.

You will also find plenty of helpful information in the FAQs, including a section on 6DOF rigs: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

If something sounds odd then look it up in the glossary: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

    Good luck with your project.

Thank you for your introductory words.
I had already built an Sfx 100 system, so I'm not entirely new to this area. :)

I love the challenge and have no time pressure.

With your (Forum) help, the project will definitely be a success.

    Great to hear @delahaye.

When you get a spare moment please start a thread and share some details about your rig, I and others would be most interested to find out more about it.

CIAO everyone! I'm Italian and I'm very happy to be here!!!!
Small question: I upgraded my account (PREMIUM), but it doesn't give me the ability to download the plugins...
Another question, is there a guide with the settings for a sfx100 4dof rig? GRAZIE MILLE.

    Welcome @simone maggioli.

A new membership does take a little bit of time to process, but looking at your banner seems to be active now. Please do PM me if that is not the case.

Can you please start your own thread so that others can respond and help out, as the Welcome thread is not the place for that.
