I stumbled upon this site by complete chance and after browsing some of the threads here my jaw is on the floor! if only i had known about this site before purchasing a GS4 (currently in use) and Frex Simcon (in transit from Japan) There is so much information here and everybody is so helpful! Please dont mind if I take a seat and make myself comfortable, i promise to behave and contribute where and when I can

My build objectives are getting motion into Power and Glory, as you may/may not know GTR2 is not supported by Simexperience's Simcommander software (who knows why) So im not sure a Gs4 profile exists from the amazing Simtools, but i'm itching to rummage through the threads in search of an answer! I would like to ideally use the Simcon 2 DOF motion + GS4 in conjuntion (not sure if their software outputs will conflict - but through trial and error we learn.)

Hello Nabdool and welcome. Speak to @yobuddy more about what interface the GS4 seat uses, he may be able to set it up with Simtools.
I am a little stunned to see that GTR2 is not supported by Simcommander, but then again, each software developer has their own opinions about that is a good "sim" game. No matter, we support 55 games or so.

I'm from sunny South Africa Thanks for the heads up on the CXC build, that looks superb and very similar to my goal! Will study that for now, the Dbox is so pricey! My Frex unit will come in about a weeks time and i'll setup a test rig try it in isolation so I can fully understand is functions properly. Im moving house this week and will be up back up and running hopefully by next week. Will post my findings as i go along, just trying to find a working link to simtools, keep getting a corrupt file after download.

Quick question Yobuddy, do you know which make/model the 16 servo's are inside the GS4? and do you have to do any maintenance on them from time to time or not? (mine is about 4 months old)

For information, the GS4 Gseat from Simxperience use a ServoCenter board from Yeitechnology to drive its servo motors.

If I have understood your need: you want to use Simtools rather than SimCommander in order to play 55 games rather than 19?

Hey Guys, Thought i would introduce myself to the community, and have to first off give a Big Shout out to bsft aka MotionDave for all the help and advice.

At first all the technical stuff seemed a little over the top but with a little help from Dave its all making sense now, Lol thanks dave,

Im currently wanting to add motion to my current rig,

Im wanting a seat mover setup NOT the whole wheel and pedal frame, so With some advice from Dave i think ive settled on the 200W, 180 RPM, 20Nm Torque motors from ebay with the 25/1 gear boxes, Pololu JRK 12v12 boards, and a Hall effect Pot that dave has a Nifty way to mount. I haven't figured out a Power supply yet, but im sure with some advice from Dave or other member's i can get that squared away with Ebay as the source.
