    Just to clarify....
What would be the better option in terms of the motor and gearbox:
    200W Worm Drive - 12v/12amp 3600rpm motor 20nM with 50:1 Gearbox $218.90
    https://www.motiondynamics.com.au/12v-or-24v-dc-worm-drive-geared-motor-200w-22-128-rpm-15-30nm.html
    OR
    200W Worm Drive - 12v/12amp 3600rpm motor 160rpm at gearbox $109.00
    http://www.motiondynamics.com.au/worm-drive-motor-12v-24v-200w-180-rpm-20nm-torque.html
Then swap out Gearbox to 60:1 $97.90

@Drewzy , depends on how you plan to connect the motors to the frame. I suggest start a new thread and we can discuss it there.

I have 1:50 gearbox and DC motor ZYT90-155, levers will be around 60mm. Planning on a rig like @Erwan960 but leave the frame of the playseat intact, placed on top of a 18mm board.

Hello @Rude42 , thats fine if you bought one. We have another member that has a bought sim as well, and uses the speed controlled fan setup on his using simtools. You may even be able to use the TM1638 dash setup if you like.
Still , post up some pics to inspire us for builds. And yes, you should be able to find some fellow racers for game action online.

    Hello,

    I'm new to this forum.
I hope to build a 6 dof motionbase for FSX in the future.
For now I want to start to build a 2 or 3 DOF Arduino Uno Powerd motionbase (with servo's).
I hope to find the information I need for this project on this site.

Hi, my name is Alex and I am from Brisbane, Australia. I bought a G27 a few years back and am just getting around to building a sim for a bit of fun with a mate. I have a background in electrical and electronics and just need to figure out the interfacing to get it all working together with the software. Im planning to start with a 2dof seat mover and progress from there.

Hi all. I'm a new member with an interest in flight sims. Specifically helicopters. I hope to build a 6dof in the near future. I'm waiting to see how oculus can be integrated into motion platforms without causing false head tracking cues. Once this hurdle is resolved I will begin purchasing components. In the mean time I will continue to research and learn from the great information posted here.

Hi Riftflyer, I too have an oculus, and was wondering about the false cues from a motion rig as well. I am hoping that by mounting the camera from the 2nd dev kit onto the motion rig itself, the relative position of the units would cancel any false motion cues.
