    Hello,
This is my first time posting on your forum (or any forum for that matter). I have been reading a great deal about all the awesome projects you lot have created, and I would like to commend you on all the ingenuity. I have grand plans to build a 5-DOF sim myself. It will consist of a 3-DOF (sway, heave, lurch) mechanism built into a larger 2-DOF full rotation rig (pitch, roll). So far I have built a small scale prototype of just the rotational rig, and have designs for the inner rig as well. I will share the design soon and look forward to some feedback (positive or constructive negative is fine). Thanks for hosting such a friendly and engaging forum.

@silmar that's pretty cool! Are you looking to add motion to that existing sim? If so, that's awesome. Do you have any more pics?

    Hey Everyone,

My name is Paul and I am just starting the journey with simtools. I am going to be moving into a new home that will have ample space to build a 2 DoF platform. Looking forward to learning and contributing to the group.

Hello @Gerry21k , theres a zillion threads to look at.
If you need some ideas on design http://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/different-2dof-sim-builds-feel-free-to-add-designs.5624/ or go through here http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/
Control boards you can use are these http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1393 , one per motor, or the arduino , h-bridge of course.
Motors can start at wipers or maybe something like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GEAR-MOT...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Otherwise, start a new thread, ask questons, and we can help there.
    Cheers, David.

Hi everyone. I'm from Slovakia and I want to build a 6DOF simulator. I tried it a year ago through softvare x-sim and did not like it much. I think it will be better and I will inform you about my project.

Hello all! Long time gamer, car lover, newcomer to racing sims.
As of late I have been bored with the usual FPS,MOBA etc as they have been re-released year after year
wearing a different hat. Or maybe I'm just getting too old for games. So now I have moved into simulators
after trying out a mates basic racing sim.

I recently purchased Assetto Corsa and am having a wonderful time thrashing it out. Probably one of the only times
that I've had to forcefully remove myself from playing a game.... After a few beers and much youtubing I have started
sketching up designs for a 2DOF seat mover and I have built an extremely basic small model with working servos as a
bit of an interfacing trial which seems to work.

Looking forward to the learning experience.
See you guys in the forums!

    Cheers

    Alexey

Yes, we are currently testing a new version of the software that support SCN6, it's almost done, we maybe find a little problem and we are trying to replicate the issue in order to be able to solve it, but for now the issue didn't show up. So, I think it's maybe done yet. Coming soon.

    Hi
I registered a while ago and still did not show up.
My name is Manuel and I live in Valencia, Spain.
I am gathering material to build my 2Dof Simulator, which I believe is not the most common that you usually see.
It is an arcade machine frame "Scud Race" from Sega.
In the introduction I think the only structure to move the seat.
Now I have two engines Smolka at home, and hoping to arrive in China two ibt-2.
The arduino will be controlling one.
Also I have two sources of HP server Dps-600bp modified to deliver 24V.
In addition to the universal joint to the seat.

And'm planning structure for engaging the whole and to put it in the drawer of the "Scud Race"
