    Hi,

My (nick) name is Gilmer and I am from the land "down under".

I have a commercial 3DOF Racing Simulator and have been watching this site for quite some time now.

Have recently started using Simtools for running some of the games on my commercial Sim and must say I am very impressed and a big thank you to everyone who have contributed and made it possible. It is an awesome piece of software :)

I'm also planning to start building a 3DOF Racing sim early next year, using http://www.motiondynamics.com.au/worm-drive-motor-12v-24v-200w-180-rpm-20nm-torque.html and Arduino Uno.

Really enjoy reading the forums while doing my research and a definite BIG thank you to all contributors!

Looking forward to also share in the future where possible, but at the moment I am like a VERY dry sponge :D... just soaking up all the endless wisdom you guys are spilling out in this forum.

    Cheers,
    Gilmer.

Welcome @Gilmer, there seem to be plenty of us Aussies here.

We would all be interested in pics of your current rig and hearing about what you would like to build, just create a new thread when you are ready.

Hello @Gilmer , you have a Simx rig, no problem, you can covert it to Simtools use and get more plugins and better motion than Simcommander

Hello. My name is Janne, I'm from Finland. I've been watching these forums for a couple of weeks as a quest, but decided to register now.
I'm just beginning my planning of simulator, probably a 2dof first to get hang of things. Amount of information here is unbelieveable. Just beginning to understand how little I know...

    Hi Everybody,
I am Chris and I am a "rookie" in the world of the car's simulation. After a few months with a basic equipment (G27) and several hours spent on youtube watching enviously owners of motion simulators, I have decided to go to the next step: built my own. Thanks to xsimulation and all the guys behind the scene for the help.

    Welcome @BillyBob.

Have a good look through member builds for inspiration, you will be amazed at the diversity: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

When you are ready to start planning then create a build thread of your own and ask lots of questions...you will find the members here are really knowledgeable and freely give of their time and expertise to help us all build our own dream sims.

    Exact same set up here.
Don't think I've introduced here so here I am.
Obviously I've got a simxperience set up so haven't built anything myself. Just trying out simtools.
Got LFS working ok. No joy with DCS yet. Gonna try a couple more things later then ask in the DCS thread if still stuck.

Do make sure you have the correct path for DCS @Imeleon, it should be like this: C:/Users/My Name/Saved Games/DCS.
