@noorbeast Hi! I have checked them both, the desk racer and the one you made.. The problem is that there are a lot of english terms I am not familiar with, aswell as I don't have a lot of tools or room to "glue" together metals etc.. It's pretty advanced for me, because I need to know what I'm doing when I'm building, and to be frank I don't know anything about these stuff.. I really need someone to tell me what to buy, and then tell me what to do to set it up.. I might seem stupid, but that's how it is for me on these kind of stuff where I have no knowledge :)

I appreciate where you are starting from @Kim R and many of us have been down the same road, not really knowing where to start nor being able to do things like welding. @Archie is a recent example and has just got his simulator up and running.

There are a lot of different native speaking members here so if something does not make sense then dual post in your native tongue.

The best advice I can give is to hang out here for a bit, have a read through builds that catch your eye, get a rough idea of what may work for you and ask lots of questions.

If you can't weld (glue) metal that is not the end of the world, some people use profile aluminum and bolt their rigs together, others have the components that comprise the frame professionally made. But first you need a bit of an idea of what type of simulator may suit you, before you worry about how it may be fabricated and other steps along the way. So do start a thread of your own and keep asking questions as you investigate.

@bsft do you, or anyone else have any suggestions for a sim that would be good for flight and driving? I have read a lot of post and it seems that most can do both? are car sims more twitchy needing better motors and controllers where as flight sims are less demanding? Should i just build a 2 DOF for car sim and a 3 DOF for flight? my brain hurts...

@Adam A I don't think a flight sim is less demanding than a race sim, they are just optimized differently. A race sim will be fast in responses and 3DOF is becoming popular by adding drift, a flight sim will be more concerned with degrees of freedom, particularly heave, and maintaining those in a smooth manner. It depends on how really hard core you are but really to some extent good motion profiles will give a pretty good result in both if you have a solid motion rig in the first place.

@noorbeast answered this, his build would do both nicely, perhaps look up his thread, its around here somewhere........

Good morning, new member introducing himself, finished in the early hours converting my Frex system to sim tools and the help and wealth of information that helped me do it on this forum was invaluable,so thanks to you all.

    Welcome @Swinny290925

Great to hear you got your Frex rig up and running with SimTools.

When you get the chance please do create a new build thread and post some information, pictures and if possible a video of your rig in actions. I and many other members would be very interested.

@Kim R - I agree, if you speak English we are at a "slight" advantage, but trust me when I say I thought everyone on here was from a different planet when I first started out.
2DOF this, and PID that, and an AXIS of degree with just a dash of COG. Crazy speak it was!! (Still is sometimes!!)

As @noorbeast said, please post all your question (in native and English if needed) and someone (even us English speakers) will get the general idea between us all and answer your question.

    Enjoy!

Let's see what Google Translate makes of my post: Quite possibly complete gibberish!

    Enjoy!

Hi, I think I've been very lucky to find this forum, because my thought is to make a 2dof for driving, and this is the right place, with the electronics and soldering iron should have no problem, but with informatics I have a level well basic, well, I started with motors (wiper) arduino, monster, potentiometers and source
disposed feeding on a table, and there I stand, there if you can help me as follow, software or the next step, thank you very much, greetings

Hi I just started on this and I was wondering if there was a plug in for rigs of rods.
