I use a portable PA, amp and buttkicker, it certainly helps and is capable of rattling the neighbors windows.

I took some time to adjust SimTool settings for each game cause it makes all of a difference between a good and a bad gaming experience.
You can't use someone else's config unless you got the same hardware, and I don't.

The first days I wasted a lot of time trying to change all the settings at once; bad approach. Then I took what I think is the right way: work on just one 'force' at a time. So I started with Surge and the with the 'complementary' Pitch, then Roll/Sway and so on...

The Surge/Pitch pair is what took me more time to fine tuning it because they do are complementary, but differently from Roll/Sway that usually go in the same direction adding one to another, Surge/Pitch can nullify each other. As an example, if I'm accelerating - Surge would move my seat backward - in a slope - Pitch would move my seat forward - the two forces could nearly nullify each other.
I then decided to give more strength to Surge, so to fell more the acceleration and the gear shift.

Up to now the game that gave me the best results is Grid Autosport, maybe I just set it better, as in AC (or in Dirt2/Showdown, NFS) I haven't already been able to make the game give me the same sensations.

Anyway, at the end, even the time spent for tuning is fun too, and seeing people using my DIY motion rig makes me appreciate the time I spent on it.
A couple of cousins are planning to make me build one for them too. Is business time :D

    Beawdy mate!
Yes profiles take time to adjust, and every game can be different, good to see you are using the "one at a time" approach to profile setting

Also I like this clear design, too. Triple screen could be an option (weight?) ? Or you're waiting for Oculus CV? :)

Right now I have two screens but with different sizes and resolutions, so I have to run games like AC in a window (not fullscreen) that sucks a lot of resources.
Triple with same sizes and resolutions would be nice but, as you said, I'm waiting for Oculus CV, but it could happend I go for DK2. Let's wait for next Oculus conference...

For the first time Oculus has a stand at CES on the 6th of January so we may get a bit better idea where development is going then.

yes, it's exactly what I'm waiting for.
If it's a matter of months for CV to be released I can wait, otherwise I'll go for DK2

Pure speculation but I am guessing last quarter 2015 will be the earliest for CV1, but time will tell.

Ready when it is ready was Palmer's basic mantra, though there was a hint that CV1 would be 2015. Still, it remains speculation. I am still sticking with my last quarter 2015 prediction for the CV1.

Cool, great progress. Why your brother does not lean against the backrest?
