With all hashed out too “me hopes”, and when reading feedback from others, it’s embarrassing now, even though I knew you were there all along! Therefore, I wish to apologize to the community as a whole as well! This really, really is a nice place to be when we are all working together like busy bees in our attempts to solve issues! And a fun place too!! We need to keep it that way!

Ps @cthiggin , I hope you don’t mind me borrowing your “catch phrase”? Well kind of like it anyway! It seemed to fit well and it just kind of popped into my head. You must be “contributing” for that to happen! lol

On another note if you would like a hand or suggestions on setting a nice race profile for the rig, let me know, that's my speciality , racing.(Im sure you could do it yourself too)

mmm friendly race comp one day sim against sim, lol I do this a lot with quite a few members now and again (they normally thrash me) , all in voice chat on skype, helps to keep the harmony too.

Thanks for offering the help @eaorobbie ! But the software I wrote to control my motors also does the mixing and manipulation of the data where necessary. The output I use from SimTools is the raw motion data and my software does the rest. The only thing that can be altered with SimTools is the maximum axis values it exports.

Getting in on a race or two sounds like fun! But do I hear a shark (as in pool shark)? They normally thrash me? Sure they do!!! lol. When you beat me I will have an excuse though! It will be because I'm half asleep because your race time is past my bedtime and before my wake-up time. But tell me again what day(s) and time(s) you race and I'll see if I can make it sometime! :)

Robs on just about all the time.
If I can, I jump on Friday and Saturday nights after 10:30pm Sydney EST.
we all just have a go, stoned, drunk, straight, tired, awake, etc.
No ones out there to beat anyone, just to have a go. You should hear us on the chat on GRID2, considering there are 2 motion sims, 2 wheel pedals stuck to a desk and the rest on controllers. Its a good laugh.

So you are still able to use motion then @bsft ? I thought with most titles you can't use motion with online gaming. I know on a LAN I have only gotten gmotor titles and Nascar Racing Season 2003 to work with motion and multiple computers.

All the games if they work online can use motion. Its till the same plugin. But as said, the group of us on GRID2, 2 out of 10 do not have motion, but doesnt matter, its still a blast and a laugh, considering the regular blokes we game with understand that bashing our car in game makes up get jolted around, so there is a "coming past you dave" comment on the chat.

@BlazinH , Im not fast at all mate, just love driving, well Dirt3 myself and a UK mate play Transporter (capture the flag) now that does get quiet competive indeed, but general racing my old refexs are not up to it to be competive, its all done for fun, no bragging rights at all. Just a good laugh and its what we build them for , to be social with other fellow sim builders.
Think we still have a friendly Race Room comp going, not sure didnt like the game personally.
And Im on some nights past 2am and if ya had me on skype you would see Im on my pc most days, or around it.
Maybe one night be good to chat with ya in person, instead of type.

@eaorobbie I apologize for not replying sooner! I read it but overlooked the reply. Thanks for the invite though! I've never driven a real car in a race so I'm no professional! The fastest I have ever driven is 137mph in a Chrysler Conquest TSi I once owned. Glad I got rid of it before I killed myself though! But I would like to have a competitive type race setting also. Still for fun but between people with simulators only to make it somewhat even. I would just like to know how I fair with other simulator owners that are trying to win also to see if I'm good at all or suck and really need improvement. I expect its the latter though! :blush

Depends on the driver on the other end, we be as competitive as we can or simply bash the other car out of the way. Mind you, the victim gets their own revenge on the next round.
We just get on and go. Drink, smoke, whatever you need to do to get in the rhythm.

I'll have to give it a go as soon as I can. Sounds like a blast! I'm still trying to finish another rig though and I've been spending most my free time on it. I haven't even been on my other simulator since I took the videos. I'm ready to put the electronics on now though so hopefully I can be testing before to long and get back on the road again! :)
