I had the same issue, added capacitor to pots and it all but cleaned it up but there was still a slight signal fluctuation that made the motors as you said crackle, I added a software filter to the smc code and that cleaned up the last little bit
I used the more simple code found here

Thanks for this, it looks interesting. I added capacitors and also added averaging to the SMC3 code, but this code seems to go beyond averaging, it's something like averaging+LPF. Maybe I'll try this one instead and see if I can clean up the last remaining noise, though it's much better now.

Hi Ronan I am new here and really like your design and the build cost seems friendly enough I might make an attempt replicating your setup. I was wondering if your motor shaft bracket file is available to 3dprint/waterjet or would this be something proprietary :) also I was the one in the youtube comments saying you should also put your videos on RUMBLE cheer's Sir.

Hello, I joined this forum just to comment on this build. After viewing several builds here in this forum and on youtube, your build is the one I am most excited to build myself.
I commented on your latest youtube video as well on how to handle the access to your plans.
I look forward to discussing this and building my own version one day. :)

That is so weird. When I open it in Incognito mode, I see 0 comments. When I'm logged in, it also shows 0 comments. I think it's the right video. I think it's not just your comments that don't show up. It has 1805 views, 100 likes but 0 comments. That's not impossible, but suspicious.

OK, I just found out all comments were "automatically held" and approved them all. There were no notifications until I actually went to the comment section of the interface. Thanks for pointing me to that problem.
Looke like I set this setting to "hold all" by mistake.
