Thank you very much and like I said in the video, this would have not been possible without this community, all the great people, the inspiring atmosphere...

Thanks, I have never tried winches :) Fortunately @insanegr provided you a list of links to information you seek.

OMG @Scratch ... you were already up there at Legend status just for the Sim and Video and then you started playing the C64 Ocean Loader.
    Total Win.

Love the attention to detail on your Sim.
Like all builders on here, getting the frame going is just the beginning, the real fun starts now.... :)

Thank you very much, but I'm not worthy for such a nice comment!

Cool you noticed the Ocean Loader! It plays automatically at startup and that tune still gets me... The same feeling of excitement from years back while waiting a game to load...

@Scratch - after building my sim I know just how hard a task it is, so yes you deserve all the accolades for your Sim.

Ah yes, the good old days of the C64!!! Have you checked out the HVSC collection?

Enough Rob Hubbard, Jonathan Dunn and Jereon Tel to keep anyone happy. (Nordic countries had a heavy Musical influence on the C64!)

Anyway.. back to your Sim. I won't hijack with C64 memories :)

@Scratch: Cratch, thinking of bulding a H shifter like yours :)
I would have a few questions:
    IMG_1517.JPG
The spring is for the stick to go back to middle position when in nutral?
And if I see it correctly in the middle its a same kind of joint as used for the seat right? Only maybe smaller?!
Since you have 6 gears I guess you solvered 6 wires onto the 8 button position right?
Why is your solder going into the side of it? Why not the middle?
And last, it seems to me that all the switches are linked. Why?

    Thanks

    Greg

I'm sure all the switches are only half wired. This will be the earth/gnd. Same as in a normal car. They're all earthed to the same point which is the chassis and battery negative.

I'm looking at your photos and the nikescar's video on youtube, I'm trying to figure out how to you keep the spring in it's place and how do you hold the shifter, did you use the artificial corch used by nikescar?????
