Hi, as I said, I do not know Codemasters Proxy Server, but from a networcking point of view I think the various setups should be these:

    Dual PC SetUp.jpg
    Dual PC SetUp witch CPS.jpg

I think your 3rd picture is wrong.
The Proxy Server sends the Data to game Manager and game Manager sends it to the 2nd PC.
Or Do i think completely wrong?

Now i checked all possible ways.
With Game Manager and Game Engine on the same PC it works with the proxy server, with the second entry the hardwareconfig.xml and with portforwarding via simcommander.

After changing the ip in the Game Manager to the IP of the 2nd PC, no data incoming in game engine :-(

Okay, in that case then the scheme might be this.
My only assumptions. Sorry if I did not help you :(

Hi, i tried to use game dash. But the plugin said in the Editor that dash is not included. Motion in GameEngine is ok.

    I tried

    Reinstall Dirt Rally
    Reinstall Simtools 2.1 and Plugins
    Reinstall gamedash 2.0
    Check Hardware.config
Check options in GameManager Dash is enable. But Gamedash find not the starting Game.

    Ideas? Thank you

Game Dash is not supported in the SimTools DIY license, but is with the Pro license.

So manzes82, did you get it to work (if you did, how)? I wish someone could point out solid solution.... I'm using 2 pc configuration and some other titles do work, but with this... no go at all...

It is a bit confusing when some has problems with dash and some with game itself. So which parts of possible solution concerns only to get data to game engine?

Do you have a 32 or 64bit computer, as the patch path is different for each with Codemaster games. With 32bit you patch to the game install folder. With 64bit you patch to the /My Documents/Games/Dirt folder

I got 64bit Win10 and i did patch \My Documents\... I saw patch making a backup of hardware.config-file. Tried to do all windows regional changes, video-settings on game, got fullscreen, did add upd-port-line to config-file, etc. But no luck.

Still no luck with this.... I reinstalled game and did all tweaking i found from this thread... I have tried both (?) working plugins, but there is no output at udp-port 4123 from my gaming pc (checked with protocol analyzer). Any ideas how to debug this further?

It sucks, because Dirt Rally was THE game why i built my rig after all..... :(

    Hi!

So my problem was to get any output from gaming pc (i have 2 pc configuration !!). I tried and tried all kind of settings in this threat, exept..

Solution: After patching, edit line in hardware_settings_config.xml to match your game engine pc :

    <udp enabled="true" extradata="3" ip="127.0.0.1" port="4123" delay="1" />

    to

    <udp enabled="true" extradata="3" ip="ip.of.your.game.engine.pc" port="4123" delay="1" />

Thanks for u all, it is now were SWEET to drive Dirt Rally with motion.

Only patch the game AFTER setting the IP address of GameEngine (of the second PC) .
    By that the
    hardware_settings_config-entry will be correct automatically.

Yap. I say that Dirt Rally patcher didn't work on my pc... it always put 127.0.0.1 on that file..... Dirt Rally was... i think 3rd game i patched in the beginning and all other worked straight away... I also deleted all files (in simtools also) according to DR few days ago, downloaded whole game via dead slow connection lasting about 10 hours, before could try again -> no go.

It would have helped if i knew that destination address was the goal to put in that config-file (as i discovered from Dirt3 and Dirt4).

But i am a very happy chappy now :D

    btw. Reps to you @noorbeast , U r a patient guy !!!

Still did not work for me. I inserted my IP on game manager and after that I patched the game. After that I edit the hardware_settings_config.xml to insert my IP number. When I run dirt rally game dash does not recognize the game and dont load its profile. Everything working in other games like assetto, rfactor 2, nolimits2, etc.
