Checking or un-checking the "Dir" box determines which way an axis goes.

Normally surge would either have both the "Dir" boxes checked or unchecked, depending on your motor settings, and the sway "Dir" settings are normally the opposite of roll, one checked and one unchecked. You can just take a guess and test in game, which is easy to do, or check out the official description here: http://www.xsimulator.net/co-ordinate-system/

To get a better idea of all aspects of SimTools take a look through the official documentation: http://www.xsimulator.net/simtools-complete-documentation/

In iRacing this is normal because it takes in to account for gravity for the heave.

So the heave with be at 1G when resting. That means when you get in to the car it will jump from 0G to 1G

To counteract this make sure you use the "Extra2" instead of heave. This is basically Heave -1G so when you are sitting still the car will be zeroed. If you don't then your seat will always be tilted forwards.

Go in to Output testing, then change it to Axis testing then move the sliders and see what motor moves.

Yaw is your heading in degrees, so when you are facing north it will read 0, the when you are facing east it will be 90, then south would be 180 degrees and so on. You don't use Yaw on a seat mover, you would only use it on something that can spin around on a central axis like a Force Dynamics 401 or similar. It is different to Rear Traction Loss also because it is just based on your heading and not your slide angle like RTL is.

Thank you Avenga76 your advice works, by replacing the "Heave" for "Extra2" I eliminated some unwanted shaking, also "Extra2" gave me details about the grass and gravel etc,..

Your rig did not cost 90k, but it performs just as well.

The details like the dash and adjustable controls are just superb :thumbs

Lots of these motor's are available on ebay for a decent price too........Interesting.

1 Thing after watching the video, I can see @ 2:47 the seat has a Decent amount of flex which is "softening" some of the heave detail. i suggest adding a block of stiff foam between the seat frame and the seat itself. or bring the seat closer to the frame itself and same thing, use a block of foam to prevent it touching under flex.

Also the following shot @ 2:52 it somewhat looks like the whole motor plate is wiggling a bit....might just be the camera angle/shot, but thought i would mention it.
