    @Milton here's a video with plenty of traction loss in the snow at Nords, unfortunately from an exterior perspective, but note no TL on the straight bits (more or less) but SLOW not twitchy
    nice throttle control and opposite lock. Love this video viewed it dozens of times, probably biased as am Jag man from way way back. Still am note avatar.

    Nick is really good at helping out over Skype. He helped me set up my simulator via Skype back in the day.

    P.S Nick, I will give you a call when I get my RTL finished because I will have to go through this same process of learning how to tune RTL.

    I take it your using replays and then playing them over and feeling the motion and tweeking as needed ?

    Geez Nick it never even occurred to me to do that. I do that sometimes with games I've saved particularly with several long ones in GTR2 with 30 odd cars and hop from car to car and experience how the AI does things. Also I don't have rFactor, would rFactor 2 play it and how to play it if I did have/get rFactor as it's not actually a saved game with all the data already there? Probably a stupid question but I'm not up on these things.

    AI have sketchy use of the pedals/wheel/Physics, DONT base the tuning center off of AI please.

    Not all games save the Motion telemetry in the replay, AC for example does not. They Used to, but then the dev's cut it out to help with replay size. Sucks but it is what it is.


    Iracing im pretty sure has the telemetry in replay so that would be a good place to start as that seems to be what your familiar with, Ideally you should search out that porsche Driver that @Historiker linked to. That replay would be Awesome to replay on a TL rig.

    Anyone knows What are Filters? and where are they located in the SimTools Software?

    the config file for the Preset settings have locations for "filters" but I don not find them in SimTools Game Engine Software, any Developer would like to help me on this effort will be very well appreciated?

    @Milton,
    Sorry for the late response buddy,
    This may work for SimTools 1.3 , but since SimTools 2.0 runs completely on plugins (game, interface, and axis assignments plugins) The files your editing will be different per plugin.
    If a author makes a single change in the plugin, like removes a saved setting variable, (just one), It will break your app.
    It looks like you have all the paths to the files you need.

    But so everyone can read the response, ill repost the message here...

    If you make it so the settings are not editable, then it should work buddy.
    It's just that with plugins, you never know what someone may do for settings.
    The whole point of SimTools for me thou, is to allow anyone to extend/create SimTools like they want to.
    And turn SimTools into more of a framework.
    As to allow people to easily create and share there work (and have it easily usable by anyone).

    With 2.0, the output engine is completely modular. (there are plugins for all parts of the system)
    Game Plugins, Interface Plugins, and Axis Assignment plugins.
    So we have way to know what the settings will be.

    I'm more than happy to help you create anything you want for SimTools thou.
    I'm just trying to steer you down a path that will work for 2.0 also.

    Thank you so much for helping me, I am so glad that we can create tools and interact with the SimTool software, definitely I am up for the task we can exchange efforts and have this software available to DIYer for free.

    Regarding my "Game Tuning Savior", let me explain how I design it: the Tuning are saved in a "Binary files" that holds all the "Game Tuning Savior" parameters and they are organized first by "Game" then by "Track" and by "Car" or "Spaceship", practically a small database in a small file format no SQL needed, I will post a picture below of how the files looks.

    this is how I transfer the settings to SimTools, my software will overwriting the SimTools "Config Files" only one time before the games begins just like i would hit the "save" button on SimTools Game engine or Tuning Center there is no differences, the big advantage is that we can now saved Tuning Center parameters based on track and car witch is not possible as of now.

    Quick question: what are those filters?

    But this is not really needed in my opinion.
    The tuning center parameters get set per game, so the felling in the seat matches the selected car/plane.
    And you can alter these settings on the fly with game manager.
    Create a profile and you can adjust the profile to fit the car/plane etc.
    Even the axis assignment settings should not need to be altered per car, as these are the limits of the sim itself.

    As a basic backup and restore tool thou, it would be pretty handy.
    I just don't think all the settings need to be editable. (and it be possible in 2.0)
    And maybe the app is trying to do something that will only make things more complicated than they need to be, is my fear.

    Anyway, the filters are the per axis filters you can apply to a DOF, when you select a DOF in axis assignments.

    I think this profile switcher is a good idea, it is more like how Sim Commander works in that you can tune for each car and track if you want.

    I do the same type of thing with batch files. There are time when the sliders in the game manager don't give enough flexibility, for example I set up motion on a Cessna totally different than a jet fighter in flight sims.

    yobuddy, with all due respect what i experience using the Tuning Center is that using the same "Limits" on all "Cars" and on all "tracks" is not enough for me so I found my self tuning the parameters every time I change cars or tracks so my software will help me to manage all those presets, maybe in your case one set of limits for all cars and tracks is sufficient and I do respect your choice with powdered sugar on top :)

    I am still want to pursue the fabrication of my software at least for my self, I hope you did not get offended by it.

    Please carefully read this again @Milton
    Have you ever tried creating a custom profile within game manager? It will raise and lower the "Limits" almost the same as creating individual tuning profiles will do, but with less resolution. I don't have anything against being able to save custom tuning profiles however. But its just a different way of doing, more or less, the same thing imo.
