DCS with SimTools

Strange that DCS don't have an setting to play the sim in window mode. Like in other games. But anyhow, I'll turn down the resolution and see if it helps.

I've tried to turn down the res and have that way enabled to have both window mode DCS and Simtools open on the same screen (although focus for moving inputs can only be in one window at the time ofc). And no, no movements/values in Simtools Max/Min tuning screen when moving the stick in DCS at all. Just zero's in the input line.

Reading the posts about udp-settings in the main thread, I'm beginning to wonder if that could be the problem for me too. How can I find those settings and what should it be for DCS?

I have exactly the same problem as Michel.
Since I switched to Simtools 3 it no longer works.
I never had a problem before on the old version of Simtools.
I have no problem with other simulations (except WRC Sport)
What interests me at the moment is to run my engines on DCS
Has anyone found where the problem could be coming from?
I still have the old DCS plugin, but I think it's the same one installed in Simtools 3

I am using the latest version of the DCS plugin for simtools 3.
Motion inputs are 0 in flight. However, simtools detects DCS well.
I have no movement issues with my other games.


I tried simtools 2 again which is still installed on my computer. it does not work either

Unfortunately no, I still have the same problem. Good luck

There are several steps to validate and troubleshoot the problem...
1) validate that your interfaces are set up correctly by using the "test settings" function in the interface setup
2) validate that your DOF's are setup correctly using the "test settings" function in the DCS motion settings
3) validate that simtools is actually connecting to DCS (the plugin changes to say "stop")
4) validate that simtools is receiving telemetry from DCS (you get changing values in the max/min screen)
5) validate that you have proper values in the min/max to get motion

Other things...
- ensure axis limiting is set up properly
- ensure that enabled is set
- make sure you know how to configure the 'on ground' settings vs the 'in air' settings that you are tuning the right one

if you know which step (1-5 above) is the issue, then maybe someone can help troubleshoot. I can confirm that it does work when everything is setup correctly.

Thank you! Its a bit frustrating and all other games work seamlessly.

I did a lot of testing yesterday and I can for sure say that simtools do not receive telemetry from DCS.

I tried to uninstall/install the pluging in both the c-drive/win/steam/steamapps/dcs and the c-drive/user/save games/dcs (from memory).

Where should the plugin be installed so I at last eliminate that. However it didnt work either place.

Hi guys,

The latest update of the plugin with fix for the region issues did it for me. Works like a charm now at my end.
