Thanks MarkusB for heads up on DCS_Exp

It is brilliant! I have a 5 dof rig and, after the expected tuning each axis, all works really well. Nice having the easy facility to change the strength of the effects on the ground.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Historiker

Yes, still working well with a few tweaks. Just upgraded my PC. I had given up with DCS with my old one. Literally a slide show when it eventually loaded. Brilliant now. Loaded in no time and I can fly round southern England with everything maxed at 160 fps or more. Even get 90fps at rooftop height over London. Still not gone VR yet. Have you tried VR?

Have spent a long time getting Surge to feel right on take off. Finally got it now - seat moves forward a few inches and simultaneously tilts back giving a nice push in the back. All 5 axes feeling good. Using Roll rate gives a much better feeling than angle.

Good to hear from you. Been tinkering with this on and off for a long time now.

    Hello guys !!!

We are agree they have not possibility to have extra 1 or 3 for sim with Traction loss actuators
like Xplane or FS2020 (if i remember its extra3)

Tuning center not receive Extra 1 2 or 3 informations :/

I try with this plugin or expérimental (with anti Roll) but same issue

Please make sure your using the plugin installer with v2, and not installing plugins by hand.
    Take care!

    Hi Guys
did anyone ever get a working solution to the rollover issue in DCS,I have just completed my 1st 2 dof rig which works great other than nearly getting spat off when doing a barrel roll or vertical loop.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received, i have tried the anti rollover function in 2d advanced ,but to no avail .
Maybe it needs to be used in conjunction with other settings.
I would have thought that just a max value for roll rate until reached would do it then just return to wings level rather than a violent return to center, which is also really hard on the rig

Yup for sure ,tried that in 2 advanced but in isolation does little at all,I wonder if there is anything else that can be done as it spoils the whole experience,is there anyway of just limiting the roll to a fixed point then just return to wings level when you straighten out

That is what Anti Rollover is meant to do.

Have your tested Anti Rollover with just pitch and roll, with all other axis turned off? That way @yobuddy and others may be able to offer further advice.

I am presuming you are using the plugin from this tread, but just want to confirm that as there are a number of DCS plugins.

Can you please provide pictures of all of your settings, including Tuning Center.

I see from existing images you have what seems to be excessive allocations like sway, which may complicate things as SimTools mixes all axis on the fly.

It is best to use Roll Rate. There is a plugin available called DCS_Exp which I am using and has the options to use angle or rate for pitch and roll.

This is what anti-rollover does, turn it on for roll and pitch, and then set the max/min values to -90 /90 and you should be good to go buddy.

Thanks as ever for the speedy replies.
I will try this over the next 2 days
I have a feeling that my understanding of the min max settings is incorrect.
This could be as they say pilot error..
Will report back once had chance to get stuck in again
Thanks all again for your invaluable input

    Hey yobuddy
the -90/90 value ,is this set in the output rotational setting or somewhere else, i am using worm drive motors ,so should the output be set to rotational.
    Many thanks in advance
