The review videos have started...pity about the poor wheel animation, it is way off.

I got my wheel to match up with the in game wheel by adjusting the steering saturation down (If I remember correctly to about 45%). The downside is that you also limit the rotation of your wheel to 180° or thereabouts . I also enabled the soft lock to feel when the wheel hits that limit. Having your hands match up with the virtual ones really adds to the immersion.

Managed to play it last night. It's awesome!! I had to turn off the wheel though, but that's no biggie as I tend to watch the road :D

It's a different beast in VR. I'm easily 5-10 seconds slower in VR than when using triple screens.

My only slight gripe with the VR rendering is that, for some reason I can't put my finger on it, the cars don't feel quite grounded, or solid.
In AC, I get the sense I'm sat in a solid hunk of metal and rubber, but in DiRT Rally, it's almost feels like a cardboard cutout. It's hard to describe what I mean.. Like the car's don't have quite have the right weight or something...

Other that that. The worlds most perfect Rally game just got better! :D

Gave it short run last night, VR menus and the greater resolution of CV1 are welcome additions. Still sorting out the profile for Simtools. Nothing not to like so far

Finally got around to test Dirt on my oculus. And it is awesome!
but the resolution could be alot better, it is hard to see more than 50 meters ahead...
it also bothers me that I can see the pixels and I am thinking that it might be better if there was more space between the lense and my eyes...?
The FOV is more than enough, so what I am thinking is that I could sacrifice som FOV to get the lenses further away and by that redusing the pixel effect...?
Has anyone tried adding more distance between their face and the lense? (by putting on thicker pads or something?)

Have you tried supersampling? It helps with the clarity if you have the power to run it, I've got a 980ti and run SS at 2 with no problems.

I tried Project Cars and Dirt Rally oculus versions and definitely Project Cars graphics better than Dirt Rally. did you try Project Cars ? Could you get motion from the plugin ?

    Thanks.

Yes, bear in mind this affects all Oculus games though. Some devs are realizing it's importance and are including this setting within game options, don't think Dirt has it yet.
